CMAT Analysis 2024 by IMS

CMAT 2024 Analysis by IMS: One of the best prep schools for management entrance exams, IMS Learning Resources, will release the CMAT 2024 exam analysis after the conclusion of the exam. CMAT 2024 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 15, 2024, in a CBT mode. It will evaluate one's skills in areas like Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation; Logical Reasoning; Language Comprehension; General Awareness; and Innovation & Entrepreneurship. 

The CMAT 2024 analysis by IMS will include how difficult the test would be overall, the types of questions asked, and how many questions are in each section. This article also talks about what IMS experts believe are the expected CMAT cutoff 2024 scores.

CMAT 2023 Sectional Analysis by IMS

Below-mentioned is a detailed CMAT 2023 Analysis by IMS experts to help get an idea about the exam. 

Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation

In terms of the Level of Difficulty, this part was quite simple. Five of the section's twenty questions dealt with data interpretation, while the remaining fifteen dealt with quantitative techniques. The five questions in Data Interpretation were based on tables and pie charts. The majority of Data Interpretation questions required basic computations.

Arithmetic questions dominated the Quantitative Techniques section. Out of 15 questions in Quantitative Techniques, 8 were on Arithmetic (percentages, averages, ratios, compound interest, time-speed-distance, and time & work). Numbers, Geometry, and Modern Mathematics (Probability) each had two questions, while Algebra had one. The majority of the Quantitative Technique questions were simple. Students noted that one probability question did not have a proper answer in any of the possibilities.

Logical Reasoning

This section consisted of 20 questions, 15 of which were on Non-verbal Reasoning and 5 on Verbal Reasoning. There were no set-based questions, and all of the questions were freestanding.

Non-verbal Reasoning problems were dispersed throughout many themes in Logical Reasoning such as Directions, Series Completion, Arrangements, and Family Tree, among others. Students stated that one question in Family Tree did not have a corresponding right answer.

The questions were not long, and many of them were clear and simple to answer.

Language Comprehension

The Reading Comprehension section included a total of four questions, whereas the Language Comprehension section had sixteen questions that were not related to RC. The passages each had around 350 words in their entirety. Questions that did not involve the RC were quite simple.

General Awareness

16 of the 20 General Knowledge questions were based on Static GK. Four of the questions were about current affairs. Around 11 questions were centered on Indian events, 4 on worldwide events, and the other 5 were miscellaneous. The majority of the questions included sports, the constitution, history, literature and writers, prizes, physics, geography, and so on. This section was challenging in general. A decent effort in this part would be 8 to 10 tries with 80% accuracy.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship

13 of the total 20 questions were based on static general knowledge. 7 questions were about Current Affairs. In 2023, there were no questions based on reading comprehension passages. This area mostly consisted of questions about business, economics, management, and other government programmes. Overall, this was a challenging part of the chapter. A solid effort in this portion would consist of seven to nine attempts with an accuracy of eighty percent.
