Detailed Article on ICAI CA Intermediate Course

The second level exam for the Indian Chartered Accountancy (CA) programme is the CA Intermediate Course. This level has two entry options. Clearing the foundation level is the first method, and straight admission is the second. Students can develop a strong understanding of the numerous facets of finance and accounting at the intermediate level. The group technique makes the test even more challenging because each group has four subjects, and in order to pass a group, a candidate must pass each of the four papers. The student may have failed the courses he has already taken because failing one topic leads to failing the entire set. Each of these groups consists of four subjects, and in order to qualify for the group, every candidate must pass each of the four. A student is completely excluded from the group if they do not receive the minimum required passing marks.

The CA exams are divided into two groups - Group I and Group II - each consisting of four papers for a total of eight papers. They are held twice a year, in May and November. Candidates have the option of presenting to both groups at once or just one at a time.

You can find a comprehensive article on the ICAI CA Intermediate course in the guide below.
