Factors to Consider while Choosing a Law College in Rajasthan through CLAT

Several factors should be taken into account when evaluating a law college and some key points are emphasized below. It's essential to be mindful of these factors to prevent future issues.

    • Students can always download the brochure of each CLAT participating law college and review all the details, enabling them to discover the services offered as well as the advantages of selecting that college.
    • Knowing the rankings of a particular CLAT accepting law college is crucial. Checking the latest edition of NIRF Rankings and NAAC Grade is advisable.
    • Candidates should choose the CLAT participating law college after examining the placement records of past years, provided facilities, and other essential details.
    • Awareness of the faculty, teachers, and their achievements is important to gauge the teaching quality of the college and it's essential to ensure that the pedagogy is up-to-date.
    • Candidates must review the fee structure outlined by each of the CLAT participating law colleges and then select the one within their budget.
    • Last but not least is the infrastructure, a vital factor in choosing a law college.

What is a Good CLAT Score?

What constitutes a favourable CLAT score varies based on factors such as the exam pattern and cut-off criteria for a given year. For General category candidates aiming for admission to top NLUs, targeting a score of approximately 110 and above is advisable. Conversely, Reserved category applicants should aim for a score of 90 and above. It's crucial to recognize that score benchmarks can fluctuate depending on the specific CLAT question paper and cut-off trends.

For instance, with the change in the CLAT exam pattern, the maximum achievable score is also sometimes altered due to which target scores need adjustment. In cases of an average difficulty level, setting a goal within the range of 100 - 120 is reasonable for securing admission to premier NLUs. However, during high-difficulty exams, candidates achieving scores between 80 - 100 can still secure admission to an NLU.
