UTET 2023: Exam Date, Answer Key, Result, Selection Process

UTET 2023 was held successfully on September 29, 2023, encompassing both UTET Paper 1 and 2.  The UTET 2023 exam was held in two shifts in pen and paper mode and lasted for 150 minutes. UTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are appearing for UTET 2023 have to fulfill certain eligibility conditions decided by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). UTET eligibility criteria are set by the NCTE and candidates who apply for the exam are expected to clear those conditions. Only those applicants who meet the eligibility set for UTET 2023 will be allowed to sit for the exam. For Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5)

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
• 12th grade with a minimum of 45% marks and completion of two years of elementary education training under the National Teacher Education Council.
• Higher Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and completion of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/BTC).
• Shiksha Mitra personnel with a two-year Diploma (D.El.Ed) from IGNOU.

For Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8)

• Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and a B.Ed degree following NTEC guidelines.
• Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks along with a B.Ed degree.
• SSC or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor's degree in BA/BSc Ed or BA Ed/BSc Ed.

UTET 2023 Examination Pattern

UTET 2023 will be conducted using the traditional pen and paper method. Candidates interested in teaching positions for classes 1st to 5th must take UTET 2023 Paper 1, while those aspiring to teach upper primary classes (6th, 7th, and 8th) need to sit for UTET 2023 Paper 2. If a candidate is open to teaching in both categories, they will need to appear for both exams. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of UTET 2023 will be administered on the same day but at different time slots, each lasting two hours and thirty minutes. Both papers will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions. The exam medium will be Hindi and English, except for the language section.
