TS POLYCET 2024 Ranking System

Even though TS POLYCET 2024 is conducted for 150 marks, the total mark to be considered for declaring the rank is 120. The course-wise ranking system is as follows -

Ranking System for Diploma in Engineering	Only the marks scored in Mathematics (60), Physics (30), and Chemistry (30) subjects of TS POLYCET shall be taken into consideration. There will be no weightage for Biology marks. Therefore, the total marks to be considered is 120.
Ranking System for Agriculture Diploma & Animal Husbandry Courses	For Agriculture Diploma & Animal Husbandry Courses, the marks secured in Mathematics (30), Physics (30), Chemistry (30), and Biology (30) subjects of TS POLYCET shall be considered. Even though Mathematics is conducted for 60 marks, the marks shall be computed to 30 marks (60/2) Therefore, the total marks to be considered is 120.

TS POLYCET 2024 Qualifying Marks

As per SBTET Telangana, the minimum score required to clear the entrance exam is 36 out of 120 marks. For the SC & ST categories, the minimum qualifying mark is 1.

Hello Rudra, the answer to this question depends on a few factors, including the number of seats available in the polytechnic, the cut-off percentage for the year, and the student's caste/category. According to the information you have provided, the cut-off percentage for admission to Government Polytechnic, Chandrapur in 2022 was 75%. This means that a student with 74.4% marks would not have been eligible for admission in the general category.

I pursued Diploma in EEE for 2 years, discontinued and joined ITI. Now I want to join diploma again. Can I join again?

Dear Student,

You can certainly join Diploma in Electrical Engineering after completing your ITI degree. Since you will join Diploma after completing your ITI, you will be eligible for lateral entry admission. This means that you will be directly admitted to the 2nd year of your Diploma course, making it a total of 2 year's degree. In order to join the Diploma, you must have acquired a minimum of 40% aggregate in the final exam with no backlogs.
