After the FRI entrance exam result is officially released, the candidates come to find out whether or not they have qualified for the next stage of the admission process. The FRI entrance exam result has two components - A regular List and Waiting List. The institute officials release the FRI entrance exam merit list on the official website of FRI Dehradun within two weeks from the date of the examination. While preparing the FRI entrance exam merit list, the officials consider the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam, previous qualifying exam and the eligibility conditions. Based on the merit position of the candidates, the counselling process is carried out for the purpose of seat allotment.
FRI Dehradun also has a tie-breaker policy through which it determines the merit position of those candidates who are stuck at the same marks -
Candidate with a higher aggregate in the qualifying exam is given a higher merit position OR
A candidate who has a higher aggregate in the graduation level is given a higher merit position
