MAH MCA CET Merit List 2024

MAH MCA CET merit list 2024 will be released after taking into consideration the marks secured by the candidates in the MAH MCA CET exam 2024. Candidates will be granted admission into the MAH MCA CET participating colleges 2024 based on their position in the MAH MCA CET merit list 2024. The conducting body prepares two types of merit lists: provisional merit list and final merit list. 

MAH MCA CET Provisional Merit List 2024: The provisional merit list is generally released as soon as the MAH MCA CET 2024 counselling ends.

MAH MCA CET Final Merit List 2024: The final merit list is generated after careful consideration of the MAH MCA CET counselling results. Candidates on this final merit list are considered for admission.

The provisional merit list will be made on the following basis:

• Maharashtra State Seats: Candidates who score non-zero and non-negative marks will be assigned a state merit list number for the first year of the MCA course. Similarly, candidates who are eligible for admission in the second year of the MCA course (lateral entry) will be assigned a state-level general merit list number along with the corresponding Home university area merit number and category merit number.

• Other Maharashtra Seats (OMS): Candidates who are applying from non-Maharashtra domicile and score non-negative or have AIMCET 2024 equivalent score will be assigned an OMS Merit number.

• Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Seats: Each candidate from Jammu and Kashmir who scores non-negative marks will receive a state-level merit list number.

MAH MCA CET 2024 Normalization of Scores

The MAH CET MCA 2024 Merit List is based on the scores achieved by applicants. The process for calculating the merit list scores is provided below.

• After removing one negative mark for each incorrect response, the Corrected MAH MCA CET score is calculated using the marks granted for each correct response.
• MAH MCA CET is administered in many sessions, with varying difficulty levels. To account for this, the Corrected score is compared to the basic form using all relevant parameters.
• Equated scores are displayed up to two digits after the decimal point.

MAH MCA CET Tie-Breaking Policy

When generating the merit list, if two or more applicants have the same score/percentile, the following tie-breaking criteria are used:

• The percentage of marks received in the qualifying degree examination is assessed, and the applicant with the highest percentage is rated higher.
• If there is still a tie, the applicant with the larger percentage of marks in the 12th grade is rated higher.
• If there is still a tie, the applicant with the larger percentage of marks in the tenth grade is rated higher.  
• If there is still a tie, the candidates' ages are considered. The older candidate is ranked higher.
