The IIT Kanpur begins with ‘Abhivyakti 2019,’ which is the annual startup showcase event organised by the Startup Incubation and Innovation Cente (SIIC) of the institute. This will showcase innovations to investors.
IIT Kanpur ’s Startup Incubation & Innovation Centre known as SIIC begins with the startup showcase of 2019 with the students of Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Kanpur named ‘Abhivyakti 2019.’ The event will be attended by innovators, business leaders and government officials. The event will showcase the most unique innovations and startup ideas supported by IIT Kanpur’s SIIC Cell. The Hall of Fame at IIT Kanpur is hosting the event which started from Tuesday, 5th November 2019.
Prof. Amitabha Banerjee, IIT Kanpur’s Professor In-Charge of SIIC, said that the aim of Abhivyakti 2019 is to showcase the unique innovation and talent to the whole nation which was supported by the Incubation Centre under the guidance of IIT Kanpur. Prof Banerjee added that the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), IIT Kanpur is now ready to incubate businesses on a global scale.
He informed that the startups which were incubated by them are now working hard to solve some of the world’s most complex technological and societal challenges which have potentials to bring transformations in the lives of millions.
There will be an expo held by the SIIC in the Hall of Fame where key business influencers will be discussing the matter of ‘How the Incubators are Shaping Indian Entrepreneurship Landscape.’ The discussion session is being led by Prof. Amitabha Banerjee and Dr Nikhil Aggarwal will mark the presence of prominent leaders like Mr. Alok Sinha, The Additional Chief Secretary of the UP Government; Mr. Harkesh Mittal the Programme Head of Innovation in Entrepreneurship and Tech. Commercialisation at DST, Government Of India; Mr. Nirankar Saxena the DY Secretary General of FICCI and many more.

The Indian government officials, investment farms and business heads will be showcased some of the most business-potential-rich innovations done at the IIT Kanpur to build their interest for funding it on a higher scale.
