Why the JEE Main Result Session 2 2024 is getting delayed?

National Testing Agency will be releasing the result soon either on April 24 evening or April 25 morning (Wee hours). As per the official dates, the result is scheduled to be released on 25th April 2024. But due to the early announcement of JEE Main Final Answer, the result was expected to be released before the scheduled date. JEE Main Result Session 2: Total candidates registered in both sessions

The JEE Main 2024 Session 2 entrance exam was recently administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on April 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 12, 2024. In addition to 22 cities outside of India, 319 cities in India hosted the exam. The examination was administered by the NTA in two sessions, in January and April. Over 24 lakh people registered for the exam in total for the two sessions this year. The highest scores from the two sessions will be taken into account for ranking if a candidate participated in both.

JEE Main Result 2024 Session 2: Tie Breaker Policy

There is a tiebreaker rule for Paper 1 (B.Tech) in the JEE Main Result 2024. According to the rule, candidates will be chosen in order of their NTA scores in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. In the event that there is still a tie, the candidate who has more right answers than wrong answers across all subjects will take precedence. In mathematics, physics, and chemistry, the candidate with fewer wrong answers and more right answers will be given priority in that order if there is a tie. In the event that there is still a tie, the application number will be ranked highest, with the older candidate receiving priority.

JEE Main 2024 Result Session 2: How many candidates will be eligible for the JEE Advanced from General Category?

As per the official data released by the NTA, a total of 2.5 lakh candidates get shortlisted for the JEE advanced exam. Among them, ​​101250 candidates from the general category (96187 for general and 5063 for GEN PwD) are selected for the JEE Advanced exam. Registration for the JEE Advanced exam is scheduled to start on April 27 2024

JEE Main 2024 Result: Total number of candidates registered in both sessions

The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently conducted the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 entrance exam on April 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 12, 2024. The exam was held in 319 cities across India and 22 cities outside India. The NTA conducted the exam in two sessions i.e., January and April. This year, the exam received over 24 lakh registrations for both sessions combined. If a candidate appeared in both sessions, their highest scores from the two sessions will be considered for ranking purposes.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Results: Tiebreaker Policy of Paper 1 (B.Tech)

The JEE Main Result 2024 has a tiebreaker rule for Paper 1 (B.Tech). The rule states that the candidates will be selected based on their NTA score in Mathematics, followed by Physics and Chemistry. If there is still a tie, the candidate with fewer incorrect answers and more correct answers in all the subjects will be given priority. If the tie persists, the candidate with fewer incorrect answers and more correct answers in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry will be given priority in that order.
