AIIMS, New Delhi, implements a reservation policy that categorizes seats based on various parameters. The categories eligible for reservation at AIIMS BSc Nursing are as follows:

a. Other Backward Class (OBC): 27%

b. Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%

c. Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%

d. Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10%

AIIMS BSc Nursing 2024 Reservation Policy: Interchange Policy

AIIMS follows an interchange policy to ensure that reserved seats are filled even if suitable candidates are not available within a particular category. The policy states that if the required number of suitable candidates is not available in the Scheduled Caste category, the vacant seats will be filled by candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe category, and vice versa. Similarly, if suitable candidates are not available from the OBC (NCL)/EWS reserved category, the vacant seats will be filled by candidates from the general category.

AIIMS BSc Nursing 2024 Reservation for PwBD

AIIMS is committed to providing equal opportunities to persons with disabilities. For Indian Nationals, there is a 5% reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disability, which is allocated on a horizontal basis. This means that the reserved seats are distributed across different categories, ensuring fair representation and opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

AIIMS BSc Nursing 2024 Reservation for EWS

The reservation for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) follows the guidelines set by the Government of India. Applicants must meet the specified criteria and provide the required certificate as per the format provided in the prospectus to support their claim for EWS reservation.
