For B.Tech agriculture engineering admission in Andhra Pradesh, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada conducts an entrance examination called AP EAMCET. The B.Tech agriculture engineering aspirants of Andhra Pradesh must appear in the AP EAMCET or AP EAPCET exam and secure a valid rank for admission into various agriculture engineering institutions situated in the state. • Age Eligibility - Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time of applying for B.Tech agriculture engineering admission through AP EAMCET and must be younger than 22 years of age. The maximum age limit for SC/ST candidates is 25 years

• Domicile and Nationality - Applicants must be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana and citizens of India. Non-local and NRI/PIO/OCI card-holders can also apply if they fulfil all the requirements laid down for them by the respective governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state

• Qualifications Required - Applicants must be 10+2 qualified from any recognized Andhra Pradesh Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Applicants with a valid diploma from an AICTE-recognized institution can also apply

• Qualifying Marks - General category applicants with a 45% aggregate score in the core subjects in their respective qualifying examinations can apply whereas, reserved category candidates are allowed with a 40% aggregate score

Candidates with the minimum qualifying marks in the AP EAMCET exam are eligible for the B.Tech agriculture engineering admission process. All the important aspects of the B.Tech agriculture engineering admission process have been discussed below - 

• Minimum Qualifying Marks - Candidates must at least secure 40 out of 160 in the AP EAMCET examination to be eligible for the next round of the B.Tech agriculture engineering admission process. There is no minimum qualifying mark for the SC/ST category candidates

The candidates must have the following documents handy with them during the AP B.Tech agriculture admission counselling process - 

• AP EAMCET 2023 hall ticket

• AP EAMCET 2023 rank card

• Study certificate from class VIth till intermediate

• Certificate of transfer from the institute last attended

• Residence certificate for preceding 7 years of the Qualifying examination i.e. Inter or its equivalent in respect of Private candidates

• Andhra Pradesh Residence Certificate of father/mother for a period of 10 years excluding the period of employment outside Andhra Pradesh from Tahsildar in respect of Non-Local Candidates.

• EWS certificate valid for the year 2020-21 from MeeSeva for OC candidates who want to claim reservation under the EWS category

• Integrated Community Certificate, in case of BC/ST/SC issued by the competent authority.

• Local status certificate (if applicable)i.e a candidate who migrates to any part of the state of Andhra Pradesh from the state of Telangana from 02-June-2014 to on/before 01-June2023shall be regarded as the local candidate in the state of Andhra Pradesh

• Income certificate of parents from all sources issued on or after 01.01.2017 or White Ration card (candidate name and either of the parent’s name has to be reflected in the ration card) those who claim tuition fee reimbursement

Based on the candidates’ merit rank, category, choices, availability of seats etc, the officials allocate seats to the B.Tech agriculture engineering aspirants participating in the counselling and seat allotment process. Candidates who have been allocated seats in their desired institutions must download their provisional allotment letter from the official website. Thereafter, the candidates must report at their respective allocated institutions within the prescribed time along with their seat allotment letter and all their documents. After the verification of documents by the institute officials, the candidates are handed their provisional admission slips.
