AFMC Candidate Priority for Admission
There is no reservation based on caste/ religion etc. at AFMC and the selection will be purely on the basis of merit. The priority of candidates during admission will be based on the following criteria:
Priority 1: Already serving Armed Forces Medical Services officers who have been granted study leave.
Priority 2: This includes government-sponsored foreign students.
Priority 3: Medical Officers sponsored by Para Military Forces/ the Government of India organizations.
Priority 4: Ex-SSC AFMS Officers released from service after completion of contractual service, within three years after the release from service.
Priority 5: This includes civilian doctors who are required to submit a bond agreement by the Govt. of India at the time of PG seat allotment indicating their willingness to join AFMS post-PG course completion.

Admission to AFMC Pune is based on merit in NEET PG and candidates have to achieve the qualifying cutoff of 50th percentile for the General category, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC categories, and 45th percentile for UR PwD. For admission to PG medical courses offered at Armed Forces Medical College Pune, aspirants have to fulfill several eligibility requirements and candidates also have to be willing to serve for 5 years in AFMS (Armed Forces Medical Services).
