Our Take:
BAMU offers a wide range of courses in the fields of Science, Commerce, Management, etc. With the increase in the demand for courses, the batch size at BAMU is expected to increase which will further expand the intake capacity even more. The university needs to ensure that it follows the sanctioned intake prescribed by NIRF so as to fare better in the rankings. The scholarships provided to the students of the university are quite helpful for those bright students who cannot afford the tuition fees. The course fee is on the reasonable side but some PG level science and technology courses have high fees. The university can start offering scholarships centred around STEM courses at the PG level in order to enrol more students who are unable to pay the fee. Students have appreciated the diverse courses offered at the university and many have commended the PG Diploma courses provided in various specialisations.

Our Take:
If we go by the reviews of the students of BAMU, the hostel building of the university is not good. The buildings are worn down and need renovation and other amenities offered at the hostel also have to be upgraded. The quality of food provided at the hostels is also average. BAMU needs to improve its accommodation services so as to attract more students from outside states. There are separate buildings for different departments and they are comparatively better than the hostel buildings. Poor infrastructure also affects the popularity and overall ranking of an institute. Therefore, it is essential for BAMU to take necessary steps in improving the quality of life it offers. The canteen and healthcare centre are two major plus points of BAMU.

Top Recruiters
The companies that recruit students of BAMU are:
Chegg India | Khatri Solutions |
KPRBSK Realtors | Peacock Solar Pvt. Ltd |
Serum Institute of India Ltd | IDFC First Bank |
Property Pistol Realty | Mega Mind Education & Welfare |
Smart Money Solutions | - |
Our Take:
Despite offering many technical courses, BAMU does not offer internship assistance to its students. There is no information about the university partnering with companies for student internships. BAMU should rectify this because on-campus internships will be quite convenient for students who otherwise have to hunt for internship opportunities by themselves. Many companies also offer PPOs to interns if their performance matches the required standard, thus securing the student's future even more. The placements at BAMU also need to improve as students have complained that the opportunities in IT and Computer Science departments are low. While the placement cell is quite active and organises personality development programmes to make students industry-ready, it also needs to collaborate with bigger MNCs and organisations for better job options for students. The average package offered to students after graduating from BAMU is on the lower side which further emphasises on the university's necessity to form better industry partnerships.
BAMU Diversity and Demographics
In BAMU, for 4955 students, the faculty count is 190. The female and male student percentage is 43% and 57% respectively. BAMU has signed MoUs with foreign universities like Southern Federal University in Russia and the University of Sannio in Italy to build its academic and skill ecosystem.

MoU and Collaborations
BAMU has signed a memorandum of understanding with five renowned universities. The universities with which Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has signed MoUs are:
BAMU MoU and Collaborations | |
Università Degli Studi del Sannio Benevento Italy | Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, BAMU |
Southern Federal University, Tangarog, Russia | Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, BAMU |
National institute of electronics and informational technology | Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, BAMU |
Manashakti REST New way, Lonavala | Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, BAMU |
DB Xento Systems Pvt. Ltd. | Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, BAMU |
Our Take:
BAMU has signed MoUs and has collaborated with a few universities from outside the country, however, this does not seem to have any impact in the student diversification since there are barely any students from other countries at the university. Similarly, the number of students from other states enrolled at BAMU is quite low. This indicates that the major popularity of the university is limited to the population of Maharashtra. Several reasons can be attributed for this including poor infrastructure, quality of food offered, hostel facilities, limited seats which is already surpassing the sanctioned intake, etc. If BAMU provides better accommodation facilities near the college campus, more students from outside Maharashtra will be able to relocate there to complete their higher education.
BAMU Faculty/ College Administration & Management
Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has around 190 faculty members. The teachers are very helpful when it comes to clearing the doubts of students. The faculty is quite strict about deadlines of submissions, the exams and project (practical) submissions. There are Professors and Assistant Professors in every department.
Our Take:
With the good reputation of the faculty members at BAMU, there is, however, no incident of any misconduct surrounding the faculty of this university. The students are satisfied with the quality of education provided at the university. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University should work on hiring more experienced teachers since its batch size is gradually increasing.

BAMU Expectation vs Reality - CollegeDekho Verdict
Stretched across 725 acres of land, BAMU has been making a major contribution to the field of education for many decades and today it has a world-class reputation for research, teacher education and its Master and Doctoral programmes. However, there are several aspects in which BAMU needs to improve so as to feature among the top ranked universities of the country. One of the primary concerns is the infrastructure and accommodation issues which the university should try to fix soon. Enhancing the quality of hostel buildings and food offered in the mess is of utmost importance. BAMU also needs to work upon its placement process and ensure better opportunities for students across all departments. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has the chance to go back to its glory with constant improvement in teaching, research and placement opportunities.
