The duration of this course is 4 years and you can also choose the branch of engineering that you wish to specialise in such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, IT engineering, computer science engineering, genetic, plastics engineering, etc. To apply for the engineering courses, you will have to crack the entrance exams such as JEE Main. You can also opt for diploma courses in engineering and the duration of that will be 3 years.

On the other hand, if you passed science in class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as your subjects then you can go for medical courses in medicine, dental surgery, physiotherapy, pharmacy, nursing, etc. To apply for admission to any of these courses, you will have to appear for the NEET exam. On that basis, students will be shortlisted for admissions to the medical courses.

Management Courses after 12th

If you have scored between 70-80% in class 12 and have an interest in management, then you can pursue management courses after 12th. You can choose to pursue your graduation in management studies, business administration, hotel management or even opt for a diploma course in retail management. To pursue the above-mentioned management courses, students need to appear for the various entrance examinations. For instance, to pursue management studies, business administration and a course in business economics from DU, candidates will have to appear for DU JAT for getting admissions in DU.

Law Courses after 12th

Those who are inclined towards law can choose to do a law course. Students can pursue law course after passing class 12 in any discipline. It will have a duration of 3 years. Students who wish to get admission in law will have to appear for CLAT which is conducted for admission to the national law universities and many other institutes. Some private universities have their own admission tests which candidates will need to appear to get law admissions.

Architecture Courses after 12th

If you are someone who has a knack for innovation and has good analytical skills then a career in architecture may be a good choice for you. If your score is between 70-80 percent in class 12, then it is a good option as for pursuing a bachelor's degree in architecture, you will have to appear for NATA, which is the entrance exam conducted by the Council of Architecture. Many colleges take admission through this entrance exam. However, you need to have mathematics as a compulsory subject in 12 to appear for NATA.

Design Courses after 12th

Physical Education Courses after 12th

There are some universities that also offer a 1-2 year duration course. You can also opt for a diploma in yoga education or a course in sports science.

Students who are interested in making a career in the teaching line also have various courses that they can opt for after passing class 12. You can choose to do a bachelor's course in elementary education which has a duration of 4 years or a diploma in elementary education or a bachelor course in education.
