Chartered Accountancy (CA) exams 2025 will follow a structured cycle across three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. The CA Foundation level comprises four papers while the Intermediate and Final levels consist of six papers each. These CA entrance exams are in the form of written tests conducted by ICAI in a traditional pen and paper format and include both long-form answers and multiple choices.

Foundation and intermediate level examinations of CA are conducted three times in a calendar year in January, May and September, whereas CA final examinations are conducted only twice a year in May and November. These levels are ordered in a hierarchy and the Foundation level is the easiest, with the difficulty level increasing with each level of CA exams. To pass each level of the CA course exams, a candidate must get at least 40% per cent on every paper and an average score of 50% overall.

All auto-generated exemptions will be displayed during form completion, and candidates will need to confirm all details before payment. The registration validity for CA Foundation is now four years.

How can students prepare for the CA exams under the new curriculum?

When it comes to preparing for the CA exams under the newly set curriculum the key pointers include a clear understanding of the syllabi and study materials available by the Institute. Setting up a study schedule is crucial and should incorporate time for studying theory and practising. What is the examination pattern under the new ICAI CA Scheme?
