CBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus: The Central Board of Secondary Education has recently released the revised CBSE Class 10 Syllabus 2023 on its official website. There will be no term-wise examination conducted by the Board. Instead, there will be only one Year End Exam from the A.Y. 2022-23 onwards. Moreover, the Board has decided to continue with the 30% reduction of the syllabus from the previous trend with no other major changes. The CBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus 2023 comprises 5 units namely Chemical Substances-Nature and Behaviour, World of Living, Natural Phenomena, Effects of Current, and Natural Resources.

Before the introduction of the CBSE Class 10 time table for exams in 2023, students should begin studying the CBSE 10th Science syllabus for the academic years 2023. CBSE Class 10 Science paper will be for a total of 80 marks with 20 marks of Internal Assessment. In addition to this, CBSE Class 10 Syllabus also includes a list of Practicals to be performed. The CBSE Class 10 examination will be held from February 15 to March 21, 2023. Students appearing for CBSE Class 10 Science, must go through the whole article to know about the CBSE Class 10th Science Syllabus, Exam Pattern, and Preparation Tips.

CBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus 2023 for Practical Exams

Students should not underrate the significance of practicals because the internal assessment is worth a total of 20 marks. They should concentrate on the practicals as well as the theory covered by the CBSE Syllabus for Class 10 Science. This will assist students in receiving excellent scores and gaining an understanding of the theoretical topics through experiments and practicals. The CBSE Class 10 Science Practical syllabus is therefore available here.

CBSE 10 Science Syllabus 2023: Preparation Tips

  • Be clear about the Basic Concepts: Science is based on Theories, Concepts and Formulae. In order to perform well in the CBSE Class 10th Science exam, one must have a clear understanding of the underlying principles and concepts.
  • Proper Learning Process: One cannot muggle up science. Rather try to learn the concepts with examples and applications. Read and understand the underlying theory for every concept. Read, comprehend and then derive formulae on your own. After that solve problems based on them, this way you will never have to memorize every formula.
  • Study Everyday: Make a habit of studying for even a small period of time everyday. This will help you acquire better results. If you maintain a consistency in studying everyday, you will get to revise your topics and avoid last minute cramming through them.
  • Solve Question Papers: There is no alternative to practice sample papers. Like mathematics, Science also requires consistent practice to brush up the skills and concepts. Practice solving textbook examples, Previous-Year Question Papers, sample papers.
  • Time Management: In order to acquire a considerable marks in the CBSE Class 10 Science Exam, students must know how to manage their time. To cover the vast syllabus and then attempting the entire question paper in the given time, requires a good hold on time management. Based on your domain of expertise, plan your routine during exam week. Plan how you will attempt the questions and proceed accordingly.
