CSAB NIT Opening & Closing Ranks 2024 - The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) have released the CSAB 2024 cutoff for Round 2 in the form of opening and closing ranks at csab.nic.in. Candidates can choose the desired NITs during the CSAB counselling 2024. Knowing the CSAB 2024 Opening & Closing Ranks for NITs will help candidates understand the minimum marks required for admission to the NITs they desire to take admission into.
CSAB NIT Opening & Closing Ranks 2024 are 200 to 500 for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), 3000 to 15000 for Electrical Engineering (EE) in top NITs like NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, and NIT Warangal. However, for mid-tier NITs, the cutoff is 5000 to 15000 for CSE, 10000 to 30000 for EE, and 15000 to 40000 for ME. Nonetheless, the CSAB NIT Cutoff 2024 for Low Tier NITs is to be somewhere between 15000 to 40000 for CSE, 20000 to 60000 for EE, and 30000 to 80000 for ME. Can candidates get admission into NITs with 97 percentile?
Candidates with 97 percentile in JEE Main will have a rank around 30690 - 34500. With such a rank, candidates have good chances to get admission into the average NITs with top branches or the top NI's with lower branches.
How many choices can candidates fill in the CSAB special round?
Candidates can add as many choices as they want in their order of preference from the list of available choices.
Who is eligible for CSAB counselling in 2024?
As per the eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification, all the candidates who are eligible for JoSAA NIT system as per their JEE Main 2024 ranks are eligible for participating in the CSAB 2024 special round counselling.
Is 75% criteria required for CSAB counselling?
Candidates must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%. Candidates must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.
Which rank is considered in the CSAB special round?
Candidates’ rank in the Common Rank List i.e. CRL rank will be used in CSAB Special Round. This will not affect the reserved category seats since Category Quota seats are allotted to candidates of that category only. Thus, seat allotment is the same except the fact that CRL ranks are used in the CSAB Counselling.
Can candidates get admission into NIT through CSAB counselling?
Yes. Candidates satisfying the CSAB eligibility norms are eligible for seat allotment through CSAB across NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs and Other-GFTIs.
