CSAB 2024: The list of CSAB is released after the JoSAA counselling process is over. In case any NIT+ system seats remain vacant after JoSAA counselling, they are filled through the CSAB-Special Rounds. Moreover, a separate CSAB-Supernumerary round is conducted by CSAB for providing admission into supernumerary seats for Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli in a selected number of NITs, based upon the JEE Main rank. In addition, CSAB conducts CSAB-NEUT rounds to allocate seats to candidates from North-East states and Union Territories. The conducting body takes into account the JEE Main rank, preferences filled by the candidates, and the availability of seats while allocating seats to the registered candidates. Candidates should take a thorough look at this article for detailed information about CSAB 2024.

CSAB 2024

The CSAB 2024 list is published once the JoSAA final round of counselling is complete and the remaining seats are up for allocation. However, candidates are required to register freshly to participate in the CSAB seat allotment. The CSAB counselling 2024 is scheduled to commence on Aug 5, 2024. Meanwhile, candidates can check the expected college-wise CSAB 2024 vacant seats and the last year’s CSAB seats.

How to Apply for CSAB?

The CSAB NEUT 2024 seat allotment process has been elaborated in detail below for the benefit of the candidates.

  • Step 1: Registration

Visit the official website of CSAB and provide your JEE Main application number and password to proceed.

  • Step 2: Filling & Locking of Choices

Following successful registration, choose your  top-choice colleges and courses for admission before the specified deadline. The options cannot be altered after they are locked in their preference.

  • Step 3: Allotment of Seats

You will be allotted seats based upon your merit, preferences filled, and the availability of seats. The CSAB seat allotment letter can be downloaded in PDF format from the official website. You must confirm your seats before moving on to the further stage.

  • Step 4: Verification of Documents

Undergo the document verification process at the institute where you have been allotted seats.

Candidates should check the CSAB vacant seat allotment process 2024 as mentioned below.

  1. Freeze - Candidates willing to reserve their seats which are offered to them must select the option of freezing seats. However, candidates must keep in mind that once they reserve the seats, they will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds of the seat allotment process.
  2. Slide - This option enables the candidates to move on to the subsequent round. The step has to be selected by the candidates who wish to apply for better seats or other courses. In case candidates are not selected, they will have to select the first option provided to them.
  3. Float - Candidates who accepted the seat provided but are interested in discovering a programme at another institute with greater options, will opt for this specific option. Candidates will have to select the first choice shown to them if they are not selected. Such candidates will be taken into account in CSAB special round 2.
  4. Surrendering and Participating in the Further Round - Candidates who wish to participate in the second round to avail better options can select this option. Such candidates will not be entitled to the seat provided to them in the first round, but they can still go to the second round.
  5. Surrender and not Participating in the Further Round - Candidates who wish to reject the seat offered and withdraw from the counselling process have to select this option. They can not move to round 2 of CSAB counselling and do not have to select the first slot either.
