The CUCET or The Central Universities Common Entrance Test is exam notification is expected to be released in February. The exam is expected to be held amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the nation which makes it very crucial to follow some preventive measures. CUCET 2022 is all set to be held through LAN based CBT mode for Integrated/ UG as well as PG programmes.

Candidates are required to carry the CUCET 2022 Admit Card to the examination venue as, without it, they would not be allowed to sit for the exam. Besides the hall ticket, aspirants also have to keep a track of the social distancing norms and rules so as to arrest the further spread of the COVID-19. The exam halls consisting of the tables, the rooms, the doors, the gates etc. will also be thoroughly sanitized to keep the environment safe and virus free.

Exam Timings of CUCET 2022

The CUCET 2022 exam is all set to be held on four days. It will be conducted in two shifts on every exam day. Aspirants are advised to reach the centre at least 1 hour prior to the exam timing in order to avoid overcrowding and last-minute rush. The timings of CUCET are provided below.

Exam Day Guidelines for CUCET 2022

CUCET 2022 is going to be held with a lot of caution. Candidates have to follow the social distancing norms and guidelines firmly as even a minor flaw can result in the spread of the coronavirus. Adhering to the CUCET exam day guidelines mentioned below will help in keeping the virus under control. It will also help in successfully wrapping up the exam without any inconvenience. Check the before, during and after exam day guidelines for CUCET 2022 underneath.

Before the Exam:

The general instructions that are required to be followed before the exam are as follows.

  • Reach the examination centre at least 1 hour prior to the exam.

  • Maintain at least a 6 feet gap from the other candidates.

  • Hand sanitisers and three-ply masks will be offered by the exam authorities.

  • Aspirants will be scanned through thermo guns and they will have to sanitize their hands before entering the campus.

  • Applicants will be frisked through a non-touch body handle.

  • Bags are needed to be kept outside the room.

  • An admit card needs to be kept along with a government-approved ID as they are verified in the venue.

  • The admit card of CUCET must have a recent passport-sized photo of the candidate pasted on it.

  • Dress appropriately keeping in mind the norms of the CUCET entrance exam.

  • Carry either a black or blue ballpoint pen to the exam centre. A pencil box is not required for the exam.

  • Electronics or smart gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches, pagers, calculators etc. are prohibited.

  • Applicants are allowed to bring their own transparent water bottle, hand sanitisers (50 ML) and mask.

During the Exam:

  • Social Distancing needs to be followed in the examination hall as well. Candidates will have to sit keeping in mind the one seat vacant rule.

  • A question paper and OMR sheet will be provided. An A4 sheet will be given to do the rough work.

  • Cheating or suspicious movements will directly result in disqualification.

After the Exam:

Once the exam is over, the following measures will be taken.

  • The exam centre cannot be left early. Candidates who have completed the exam will have to wait until the time is up.

  • After the exam, the social distance will be maintained and aspirants will leave the room in an orderly manner.

  • Question booklet of CUCET can be taken after the exam.

  • Avoid touching anything such as gates, railings, door handles, etc.

COVID-19 Safety Instructions for CUCET 2022

The COVID-19 specific instructions that must be followed are provided below.

  • Carry your personal sanitisers and masks. Keep them with you all the time.

  • Do not remove the mask. It may result in the spread of the virus.

  • Try not touching the eyes, nose or ears. A handkerchief can be used for the same if required.

  • Maintain a safe distance of 6 feet. Do not stand close, even with your own friends.

  • Hand sanitisers and ply masks will be provided at the centres.

The CBT exam of CUCET for Integrated/ UG and PG courses will be conducted across various cities in the nation. All the centres will be sanitised and cleaned.

What ID card should I carry along with CUCET Admit Card on the day of the exam?

On the day of the exam, you can carry any government-approved ID along with the Admit Card such as Aadhaar card, Passport, Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) issued by the Election Commission of India, Driving License, Permanent account number (PAN) card etc.

Can I carry calculator inside the CUCET examination hall?

No electronic or smart devices including the calculator are allowed inside the CUCET examination hall.

At what time should I reach the CUCET exam centre?

CUCET is conducted in morning and afternoon shifts. Candidates are advised to check the timing mentioned on the admit card and they must report at least one hour before it in order to avoid overcrowding and chaos.
