CUET 2023 marking scheme is one of the important aspects of the Common Universities Entrance Test 2023 exam pattern. CUET is a national-level Central University Entrance Test conducted by the National Testing Agency to determine eligible candidates to provide admission into Central, State, Deemed, and Private, universities of India. CUET 2023 examination consists of 4 sections. Section IA and IB carry 200 marks each. Section II is domain-specific, and tested for 200 or 175 marks depending on the subject. Section III is the General Test conducted for a total of 300 marks. According to the CUET 2023 marking scheme, each correct answer carries 5 marks, for every incorrect answer 1 mark is deducted.

CUET 2023 Marking Scheme: Overview
Becoming well-versed with CUET 2023 marking scheme is very important for the candidates to score well in the examination. According to the CUET examination pattern, the number of questions to be attempted for each section varies but not the marking scheme.The overview of the CUET marking scheme 2023 is as follows
- For every correct answer, five marks will be awarded.
- For each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted
- No Marks will be awarded or deducted for unattempted questions
- In case more than one answer is found to be correct then five marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
- If all answers (options) are correct, then five marks will be awarded to all test takers who have attempted the question.
- If none of the options is correct, a question is incorrect, or a question is dropped, all candidates who attempted the dropped question will receive five marks.

CUET Marking Scheme for Languages
Aspirants wishing to appear for CUET UG 2023 must know that Section IA is a must for everyone. Therefore, test takers must be through with CUET marking scheme of Section IA. According to the examination pattern designed by NTA, there will be 50 questions out of which candidates must attempt 40 in Section IA and IB. CUET Marking Scheme 2023 for Domain Subjects
According to the official notification by NTA, there are 27 domain subjects. As per the latest CUET examination pattern, candidates can choose 6 subjects from Section II. Section II of CUET deals with domain-specific subjects.CUET 2023 marking scheme of Section II does not vary from subject and subject even though the number of questions differs from subject to subject. Certain subjects of the CUET Section II question paper consist of 45 questions, the others 50 questions. CUET UG 2023 marking scheme has been below.
- Every question carries 5 marks and +5 marks will be given to each correct answer.
- For each incorrect answer, 1 mark is subtracted from the total marks obtained by the candidate
- No marks for Unanswered or unattempted questions will be awarded.
- If more than one answer is determined to be accurate/correct, five marks (+5) will only be given to those who marked any of the accurate answers.
- In case all the options are correct for a certain question, all the test takers who have attempted that question will be given +5 marks.
- If NTA declares that, a certain question is dropped or a particular question has all the incorrect answers, candidates who have answered will be given + 5 marks.
