Design & designing courses are offered at different qualification levels and across multiple specialisations in India. One of the most popular careers among young students requires a creative spark and the dedication to learn new concepts. So, if you are interested in solving design problems with your creativity and sense of design, pursue your niche specialisation.

Candidates can opt for certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes to become designers. Design enthusiasts are also required to analyse and find one specialisation which brings the best out of their creative flair such as interior designing, fashion designing, web designing, graphic designing, textile designing, jewellery designing and various others.

Also, this course doesn’t have any specific discipline or stream as an eligibility requirement, so candidates belonging to any stream or discipline can pursue design courses. However, admission to any top design institutes such as NIFT, NID, the Symbiosis Institute of Design, and a few IITs will be based on the national-level entrance exams. Candidates who have decided to opt for one of the existing design & designing courses must appear for the popular entrance exams like the NID DAT, NIFT, UCEED, CEED, and SEED. Refer to this article to know more about the design courses, exams, and eligibility.
