GATE CSE Cutoff 2024: IISc Bangalore has released the GATE CSE cutoff 2024 along with the GATE result 2024 on March 16, at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The GATE 2024 scorecard will be made available for download on March 23, 2024. The GATE cutoff 2024 for Computer Science (CS) for General category students is 27.6,  for OBC NCL/ EWS is 24.8 and for SC/ST/PWD is 18.4. Computer Science Engineering is one of the highly popular branches of Engineering. Every year, lakhs of aspiring candidates apply for the GATE exam to secure admission into MTech courses offered at the top engineering colleges and universities of India. It is mandatory for candidates to qualify for the GATE exam for recruitment in Public Sector Undertakings. The candidates who wish to secure admission into M.Tech in Computer Science programmes offered at IITs, NITs, and other premier institutes need to qualify for the GATE CSE paper. GATE Counselling 2024

Candidates qualifying the GATE exam will have to apply for either GATE COAP 2024 for admission into IITs or participate in the CCMT counselling process which is conducted for admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. No centralized counselling process is conducted for the GATE exam. Apart from taking into consideration the marks secured by the candidates in the GATE 2024 exam, many institutes also conduct written test or interview to select candidates.

Admission in CSE Programmes through GATE 2024

Candidates who secure scores within the GATE 2024 cutoff for CSE will be eligible for admission into the GATE participating institutes. The admission process comprises filling an application form of the institute and registering for COAP and CCMT in case of admission into IITs, NITs, and GFTIs. Participating institutes will shortlist candidates on the basis of the IISc Bangalore GATE score 2024 and the intimation regarding the same will be displayed on the college/ CCMT or COAP portal. Several institutes also conduct additional written tests and/or interviews after shortlisting candidates on the basis of the GATE score.
