Who is eligible for GATE instrumentation engineering?

Candidates must possess a B.Tech/ B.E. in Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized institute alongwith acquiring an overall aggregate of 65% (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women) in the qualifying degree exam. Candidates must also have a valid GATE score and their age must not exceed 30 years at the time of application.

 

What is the weightage for GATE Instrumentation Engineering?

The core subjects of the GATE 2024 Instrumentation Engineering exam are analog electronics, signal processing, measurement and instrumentation, control systems, digital electronics and communication . These subjects carry a weightage of around 70% to 75% in the GATE IN question paper.

What are the credentials required to check the GATE IN Cutoff 2024?

In order to check the GATE IN Cutoff 2024, no login credentials are required. The authorities release GATE cutoff for all the papers in the form of a PDF with the category-wise cut off, qualifying candidate percentage, the maximum marks secured for each paper, etc.

 

Does GATE IN Cutoff remain the same as per the previous year?

No. The GATE IN cutoff is revised every year and is released along with the declaration of the GATE result. Although the GATE IN cutoff might remain the same for two consecutive years, the conducting IIT releases a revised cutoff every year. A candidate cannot qualify the GATE In exam on the basis of the previous year GATE IN cutoff.
