Petroleum Engineering (PE) is one of the papers in the GATE exam. The cutoff for GATE Petroleum Engineering (PE) is determined on the basis of several factors such as competition, i.e., the total number of candidates who cleared the exam and previous years' cutoffs. Through GATE PE, the candidates can get admission in M.Tech Petroleum Engineering and associated courses. In addition, the GATE PE score is also valid for PSU recruitment. However, the cutoff for PSUs can be different from the official cutoff released by the GATE exam authority. The authority of the GATE exam releases only the qualifying cutoff for PE paper, and the same will vary for CCMT counselling and COAP counselling.
