  • Candidates who are categorized as either Indian Nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Non-Resident Indians (NRI), or Foreign Nationals, are all eligible for MBBS admission at Government Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu under NEET. 
  • There is an age criterion for candidates applying to Government Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu under NEET,  which specifies that all candidates must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission. 
  • Class 12 or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Tamil Nadu State Board with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects, is mandatory for admission to Government Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu under NEET. 
  • Candidates belonging to the UR category are required to score 50% marks in the qualifying examination, whereas candidates belonging to the SC/ST and OBC-NCL category are required to score 40% marks.
