IISC Bangalore MTech Admission Process through GATE

IISc Bangalore grants admission to eligible candidates into the MTech programmes offered at the institute based on the marks secured by them in the GATE 2024 exam. Selected candidates are required to appear for an interview as a part of the admission procedure. Candidates must register themselves at the COAP portal along with applying on the IISc Bangalore official website. The seat allotment result is released on the COAP portal. Candidates who are allotted seats will be required to visit the institute as per the specified schedule to complete the admission procedure. In case two or more candidates secure an equal GATE cutoff 2024 rank, their performance in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration to break the tie.

IISc Bangalore MTech Admission Eligibility Criteria

It is crucial for the candidates to thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria of IISc Bangalore MTech admission 2024. Candidates can take a look at the as mentioned below.

  • It is mandatory for candidates to possess a minimum of Second Class or equivalent in a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of Engineering/ Technology or *BE./BTech/BArch equivalent exams of Professional Societies that are recognized by MoE/ UPSC/ AICTE (e.g AMIE by Institutions of Engineers), or Master’s degree in Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Instrumentation, Electronics, Computer Applications as applicable to individual departments / programmes

IISc Bangalore will release the application form of MTech courses on its official website. The application process for MTech Admission at IISc Bangalore involves steps such as registration, filling of application form, application fee payment and submission.

How to fill IISc Bangalore MTech 2024 Application Form?

Step 1 - Registration

Visit the official website of IISc Bangalore and click on the ‘Admissions’ tab. Register yourself by providing the required information which includes name, date of birth, email address etc. After providing all the details, the confirmation page will be displayed. You are required to verify the details via mail received at your registered email address to complete the registration process. You have to ensure to verify their email addresses within the next three days of registration.

Step 2 - Filling of application form 

Login to your account using your email address and password and provide your personal information

Step 3 - Upload scanned images  

Upload the following documents as per the prescribed format and dimension:

  • Passport size photograph, sized 4 cms (150px) in Width and 4.8 cms (184px) in Height

  • Candidate’s signature of the Candidate (8 cms (300px) Width * 1 cms (40px) Height

  • Caste/ KM/ PH certificate (Format: JPEG/GIF/TIFF/PNG)

Also provide the details concerning your choice of courses and specializations along with your qualification details.

Step 4 - Payment of Application Fees 

Pay the application fee via Net banking or credit/debit card.Once payment is done, a transaction ID will be generated. Note that ID and keep it safe.
