The application for IIST Admission 2022 is released on the official website. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) administers admission procedures for the different courses that are offered by IIST 2022. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offers the program at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. There is no separate examination conducted by IIST. The admission process is regulated based on different national-level entrance examinations such as JEE Advanced and GATE. The applicants will be able to take admission in different UG and PG courses based on their scorecard. The application form once released will be filled in online mode only. The application forms for Ph.D. courses are released first followed by postgraduate and finally undergraduate courses. Under Graduate Courses
The list of Undergraduate courses is given below. The B Tech is a four-year course program.

IIST Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The applicants must keep a check on the eligibility criteria required for taking admission to B. Tech. and M. Tech. programs that are offered by the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. While B Tech is an undergraduate four-year regular degree course, M. Tech. is a 2-year regular postgraduate course. Students who meet the eligibility conditions can only fill the IIST Application Form 2022. If the students do not meet the eligibility criteria, their applications can get rejected. Application Form IIST 2022
The application form will be available only in online mode. Here is the complete process to fill out the application form.
- Visit the official website of IIST Admission 2022
- You will get to see the information brochure
- Read the details properly regarding the eligibility and admission process given in the brochure
- Register yourself and fill in your personal details such as name, date of birth, contact number, email id, and other details required.
- Upload your educational certificates as required.
- Upload the scanned copies of your passport size photograph and signature.
- If reservation and health issues cases, upload your Caste Certificate and PwD health certificate.
- Check in all the details before the payment.
- Make the payment via Debit card/Credit Card or Net Banking.
- Finally, submit the filled application form on the website.
- Keep a copy of the application form for future use.

IIST Admission Process 2022
UG Courses
The online application for IIST Admission 2022 will be released soon. Admission to undergraduate courses is done through a process of counselling that is based on merit and is strictly governed by the reservation policy laid down by the Government.
- Candidates must register themselves on the official website of IIST
- Once the registrations are over, IIST releases the Admission list
- Only the registered candidates will be eligible for the admission list
- The valid score in JEE Advanced and counseling round will be the criteria for the selection for BTech and BTech Dual.
PG Courses
Apart from the above-mentioned admission process for UG programs, the applicants must also possess the following
- Candidates holding a B Tech degree in the relevant and a valid GATE Score are eligible to apply
- The selection is based on the marks obtained in the written test and interview.
Ph.D. Course
Similar to PG Course, the admission to Ph.D. programs is based on marks obtained in the written test and interview.
IIST Admission 2022 Rank List
IIST will release the merit list a few days after the registration process is completed. The authority will publish the merit list of those eligible candidates who successfully register and pay the registration fee. The authority will publish a merit list for each candidate based on their category.
The names of candidates who have been shortlisted for the admission procedure will be included on the Merit list. The IIST 2022 admission procedure will be governed by the candidates' rank in the merit list. Candidates can view the merit list on the authority's website.
IIST Admission Cut Off
The authority will publish the cut off marks for each registered candidate based on their category. Each candidate must score higher than the cut off marks for their category. The authority will shortlist candidates for the final admission procedure based on cut off marks.
Candidates will be able to access the complete category-wise cut off list via the admission regulating authority's website. For the convenience of candidates, we will also provide the complete cut off list along with a direct link to the admission authority's website.
IIST 2022 Counselling
The IIST will only conduct counselling for those who have been shortlisted. Candidates will be required to select their preferred courses and IIST campuses, and seats will be assigned to candidates based on their rank and available seats. Candidates must arrive at the designated centre within the specified time frame to confirm their admission. Candidates must complete all formalities for confirmation of admission, including payment of the semester fee.
Candidates will also be required to bring certain documents to the counselling session. The following is a complete list of documents required for the counselling procedure:
- Birth certificate OR Class X certificate
- Mark sheets for Class XII (or equivalent examination) (for those who took this examination in 2020 and/or 2021).
- Certificate for Class XII (or equivalent examination) (for those who took this examination in 2020 and/or 2021).
- Certificates of eligibility (EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PD).
- Transfer Certificate from the most recent institute attended.
- AADHAR Card of the candidate
