IIT JAM 2024 exam centres and dates are announced. IIT JAM 2024 exam will be conducted on February 11, 2024 and the IIT JAM 2024 results will be out on March 22, 2024. Candidates have to specify their preference for the IIT JAM exam centre in the JAM application form. It should be noted that the exam authority will assign IIT JAM test centres on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates must select three exam locations when completing the IIT JAM 2024 application form. When a candidate selects the first IIT JAM exam centre, the zone is automatically selected based on whether the centre falls within one of the eight zones listed in the brochure. The candidates must also choose the second and third exam centres from the same zone. They should exercise caution when selecting test centres because the chances of changing them later are slim.

JAM Exam Centres are divided into 8 zones (7 IITs and 1 IISc) spread across India. The IITs and IISc under which the exam centres are located are listed below.

Important Instructions for IIT JAM 2024 Exam 

The following are the most important instructions for the IIT JAM 2024 Exam:

• Candidates must bring their IIT JAM 2024 admit card as well as a valid photo ID to the examination centre.

• IIT JAM 2024 admit card will be available to students on  8th January 2024.

• The JAM 2024 entrance examination will be conducted on 11th February 2024 and is conducted by IIT Madras.

• Candidates must arrive at the designated JAM 2024 examination centre at least an hour before the IIT JAM 2024 exam begins.

• No candidate will be permitted to take the IIT JAM 2024 entrance examination without the admit card. 

How to Change IIT JAM 2024 Exam Centre 

Students can request a change in the IIT JAM exam centre if they are unable to attend the IIT JAM Exam on the specified centre. Follow the instructions in the table below to change IIT JAM 2024 Exam centre:

• All students will probably be assigned the exam centre in the city of their first choice for the IIT JAM examination. If there are many students who have chosen a particular city, then the preference will be given to the second and third choice of the students.

•  The IIT JAM committee can add a new city, remove an existing one, and allot a city that may not be any of the candidates' choices due to operational constraints. 

• Explain the situation to the authorities clearly. Mention the specific reasons why you won't be able to take the exam at the particular exam centre. Be truthful, and if necessary, provide supporting documentation to back up the case.

• Make sure you understand the official guidelines and policies for IIT JAM 2024 Exam Change Requests. This information is usually found on the official exam website or in the exam brochure. Follow the specified procedures and deadlines for submitting change requests.

Note: The IIT JAM organising committee does not guarantee that the exam centre will be changed or that the processing fee of INR 500 will be refunded.
