IIT MTech Fee Structure and Seat Matrix (As per 2023 data)
Please note that the fee structure mentioned below applies to the first semester of the M.Tech course in IITs. The MTech Fees in IIT mentioned here must be paid at the time of admission. The IIT MTech Fees for subsequent semesters will be less than the fee structure mentioned below. Also, the fee mentioned here is inclusive of hostel charges. - Studying M.tech at IIT Delhi costs approximately INR 95,150 annually, with slight variations in one-time admission fees.
- IIT Kanpur waives the tuition fee for SC, ST, and PwD students for INR 5000.
- IIT Hyderabad provides financial assistance to SC, ST, and PH students by exempting them from paying tuition fees of INR 5,000.
- The cost of pursuing M.tech at IIT BHU is approximately INR 35,415. The semester fees that follow are much lower, excluding the one-time admission fees.
- The annual cost of studying M.tech at IIT Madras is approximately INR 50,620, with slight changes in fees for the second semester and onwards, excluding one-time admission fees.

The M.Tech fee structure at some IITs for odd and even semesters also varies. For example, if the M.Tech fee at an IIT for the odd semester is Rs. 57,000, the MTech Fees in IIT for the even semester will be around Rs. 40,000. On the other hand, IITs fix different fee structures for the batches admitted every year. The fee structure for the current batch is yet to be announced by IITs.
