Tips to Prepare for NEET PG 2024

NEET PG is certainly one of the toughest entrance exams to crack, and it is only natural for aspirants to feel nervous and stressed at the eleventh hour. However, as long as you follow a study plan and keep your eye on the goal, nothing will seem impossible.

Less than a month before the exam, your focus on be on the following:

  • Preparing short notes as you continue with your revision

  • Participating in Marrow mock tests. You can also utilize the study planner by Marrow to create an efficient timetable. It helps calculate how much time you should be devoting to each subject based on the time left till NEET PG 2024.

  • Solving as many MCQ sets from practice papers

Ideally, your 30-day study plan before NEET PG 2024 should look like this:

  • First 15 days for the first round of revision – covering the most important topics to study for NEET PG 2024

  • Next 10 days for the second round of revision – solving Question banks

  • Last 5 days for the third and final round of revision

5 days before the exam, focus only on the highlights of your NEET PG notes. Do not attempt to go through any new topic. Time management is also crucial while preparing for the entrance test. Here is how you can divide your study time:

  • Dedicate 10 hours/day for revision and notes preparation

  • Spend the next 4 hours practising MCQs

When you feel you are well prepared and confident enough to challenge yourself, you may participate in a Grand test that is specially designed to boost your preparations. The questions and patterns are predictive of the main test. However, do not get overwhelmed by your performance in these tests, otherwise, you might just end up stressing even more.

Apart from these, here are a few bonus tips that our experts and toppers swear by, and you too should follow these to nail NEET PG 2024 entrance exam:

Set a Daily Schedule

Time is your most valuable asset in NEET PG. To stay organized, prepare a timetable for all your daily chores. Use a notebook or journal to list down all the key tasks with set timelines first, such as revision, practice papers, NEET PG 2024 Mock Tests and so on.

Develop a Habit of Consistency

Adhering to a pattern while preparing for NEET can be challenging but it is also essential to have a schedule for the competitive exams. That makes it easier to focus with consistency. This is particularly true when it comes to your sleep routines right before the examinations, as staying up all night and inadequate sleep may adversely affect your vitality, efficiency, and attention. Therefore, set a bedtime for yourself every night, so your body doesn’t have to continue adjusting to new habits.

Prioritize and Schedule Study Blocksf

Instead of cramming study time between other activities, set up specific periods for the most important NEET PG topics and stick to the timetable you have prepared. Scheduling study blocks is the easiest approach to ensure that you spend just enough time on your daily studies. It may be difficult to memorize every bit of what you have studied so far, so determine the importance of each subject or concept and devote adequate study time to it.

Take Time Off

The pressure of taking on NEET PG exams can be overwhelming and might affect your preparations. Nevertheless, taking a break for a while anytime, whether it’s for a short vacation or to focus on your study, can be of great help. Practice yoga, meditation, or go for a stroll if you feel stressed. Make time for your hobbies or passions other than study materials and then start again with a fresh mind.

Ensure top-notch preparation by taking regular mock tests before your NEET exam. That will help you analyze your performance better, improve your speed and ready you for the actual exam with much confidence.
