As Robert Frost had penned, "The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep", India too has a long way to go and much to achieve. While these are just few of the many accomplishments in the past one year, we hope that 2017 rings in more success, recognition & prosperity to the country. But most importantly, we hope that the citizens of this great nation can experience true freedom - from regressive social norms, from NOT being scared to say or do as they please and exercise the democracy in the truest sense, just like our freedom forefathers had envisioned it to be!
Because, who does not want to live in a utopian world that Rabindranath Tagore had hoped for;
"Where the mind is without fear and the head held high;
Where knowledge is free;
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by Thee into ever-widening thought and action....."
So, all you good folks, let us wake up into that "...heaven of freedom..." and ensure that today, tomorrow and every day after that, we awaken to a free world of thoughts & actions!
