INI CET 2025 rank vs percentile allows candidates to figure out which college they can secure admission in with their performance in the entrance exam. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) releases the important dates for INI CET Exam 2024 on its official website. According to the official notification, the INI CET Exam 2025 for January session results were released online on November 16, 2024, and the exam was conducted on November 10, 2024, and for July session will be conducted on May 18, 2025. As per the latest update, the INI CET 2025 Result for the January Session will be released on November 16, 2024, and the July Session will be published on May 24, 2025. The counselling process for INI CET 2025 January Session is expected to begin in the 1st week of December 2024.

To have an overall understanding of the results, candidates must have a clear idea of the INI CET 2025 Rank vs. percentile. A percentile rank refers to how well a candidate has performed in the exam in comparison to others. On the other hand, a percentage rank only indicates the candidate’s performance in the test. The minimum percentile cutoff for general category candidates in the INI CET 2025 exams is 50 while that for reserved category candidates is 45.

Interpreting INI CET 2025 Percentile Scores
As you already know, a percentile score reflects a candidate’s performance with respect to others appearing for the examination. These scores do not refer to the marks obtained by the candidate. For instance, if the number of applicants taking the exam is 100 and the total marks allotted is 100 marks, then the following method will be applied to calculate the percentile scores:
Total marks secured by a candidate are calculated
Based on the marks secured, a list of all candidates is prepared
Ties, if any, are resolved
The below formula for calculating the percentile scores is applied
Percentile Score = 100 x (No. of candidates with scores equal to or less than others)/Total no. of candidates appearing for the examination

INI CET 2025 Tie-breaker
The INI CET 2024 Tie-breaker comes into play if two or more candidates obtain the same score in the entrance exam. The rules for tie-breaking apply as follows:
The candidate who scores lesser negative marks in the test is ranked higher
If the tie persists, the age of the candidate is taken into account, and the older candidate gets the higher rank
The INI CET 2025 Merit List is prepared and released subsequently based on the total marks or scores.

Counselling of shortlisted candidates for INI CET 2025 Admissions will be conducted online. The counselling procedure will take place in three rounds, including an open round. Students will be asked to register and submit their preferences for courses and colleges.
