Interpreting INI CET 2025 Percentile Scores
As discussed earlier, a percentile score reflects a student’s performance concerning others appearing for the examination. These scores do not refer to the marks obtained by them. For instance, if the number of examinees taking the exam is 100 and the total marks allotted is 100 marks, then the following method will be applied to calculate the percentile scores:
Total marks secured by a student are calculated
Based on the marks secured, a list of all students is prepared
Ties, if any, are resolved

Percentile Score = 100 x (No. of students with scores equal to or less than others)/Total no. of students appearing for the examination

INI CET 2025 Tie-breaker
The INI CET 2024 Tie-breaker comes into play if two or more students obtain the same score in the entrance exam. The rules for tie-breaking apply as follows:
The student who scores lesser negative marks in the test is ranked higher
If the tie persists, the age of the student is taken into account, and the older student gets the higher rank
The INI CET 2025 Merit List is prepared and released subsequently based on the total marks or scores.

Counselling of shortlisted students for INI CET 2025 Admissions will be conducted online. The counselling procedure will take place in three rounds, including an open round.
