Jammu & Kashmir MBBS Admission 2025 is likely to be conducted in the month of July 2025. The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Exam, also known as JKBOPEE, will be conducting the Jammu & Kashmir MBBS Admission 2025 process. To apply for the J&K MBBS Admission 2025, the NEET 2025 Exam qualification with the specified cutoff is mandatory for all interested students. The registration process for Jammu & Kashmir MBBS Admission 2025 will be conducted in online mode, on the official website JKBOPEE. While the official datesheet for Jammu and Kashmir MBBS Admission 2025 is yet to be published, it is expected to be conducted shortly after the NEET 2025 Result is declared by June 4, 2025. Interestingly, the J&K MBBS Admission 2025 will be conducted for the 100% MBBS seats under the NEET State Quota seats, as the state does not have a 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seat reservation as per the Government law.

A State-level Merit List will be published by the JKBOPEE, announcing the names of eligible students for MBBS admission counselling process based on their NEET performance. These students will be further able to participate in the J&K MBBS Admission 2025 Counselling process. The NEET 2025 Exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 4, 2025. Apart from this, the other set of eligibility criteria to apply for Jammu and Kashmir MBBS Admission 2025 includes a 10+2 qualification with a Science background, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects, and at least 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2. Jammu & Kashmir MBBS Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025

To participate in the J&K 2025 MBBS Admission Counselling process, all students are required to satisfy a list of eligibility criteria specified by the JKBOPEE. The list of eligibility criteria has been provided below for reference to all interested students. 

  • All students are required to complete their 10+2 or its equivalent with a Science background from a state-recognized board of education. 
  • All students must have English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects in their qualifying examination. 
  • All students must secure a minimum of 50% (for General Category) marks in their 10+2. Students who fall under the categories of ST/SC/OPH must secure at least 40% marks in aggregate. 
  • All students must qualify the NEET UG entrance exam with the required category-wise cutoff to be deemed eligible for J&K MBBS Admission 2025. The minimum NEET-UG qualifying mark for Open Merit/ Sports/ CDP/ JKPM categories is 119, while the cut-off mark for OSC/ ALC/ SC/ ST/ RBA is 96 marks.
  • Only students who are permanent residents of the state are eligible to apply for J&K MBBS Admission 2025. In case a student is not a permanent resident, they must have completed their primary education or Classes 10th and 12th from a school affiliated to the Jammu & Kashmir state-recognized board of education. 
  • All applying students must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31, 2025, or the year of admission. The upper age limit to apply for the same is 25 years of age. 

Jammu & Kashmir MBBS Admission Application Process 2025

Step – I: Professional Entrance Examination Board of Jammu & Kashmir initiates the online application process for the admission to MBBS course. Therefore, the candidates will have to visit the official website of the board to submit the online application. The application portal will be functional as per the dates prescribed by the board.

Step – II: While filling out the application, the candidates will have to fill in all the details carefully. Filling in the application does not mean that the candidate will get admission to the college as per his/ her wish.

Step – III: Along with the application form, the candidates will have to upload the following documents for document verification: -

  • NEET-UG 2025 Score Card

  • Class 10 Certificate

  • Class 12 Certificate

  • Category Certificate (if applicable)

  • State Subject

Step – IV: After uploading the above-mentioned documents, the candidates will have to report to the Professional Entrance Examination Board office for the physical verification of documents.

Candidates who appeared for the physical verification of documents are only eligible for J&K MBBS Admission 2025, only the names of these students will be included in the provisional merit list. After checking the provisional merit list, the candidates will have to take part in the online counselling process. The candidates must log in and complete the choice filling form. The candidates will have to choose the colleges as per their preference and requirement. After filling out the choices, the candidates will have to lock their preferences so that they will be considered for the seat allotment.

Jammu & Kashmir MBBS Admission Selection Process 2025

JKBOPEE releases the list of selected candidates for seat allocation based on the NEET UG exam qualification. The candidates belonging to the state and securing the highest positions in the exam are Deemed eligible to feature in the J&K MBBS Merit List 2025. The official counselling authority refers to this list to follow up with the J&K MBBS Admission Selection Process 2025. The above-mentioned selection list also highlights the name of the institutions allotted to the candidates for admission. 

JKBOPEE decides the number of counselling rounds to be conducted for J&K MBBS Admission 2025. In case if some of the seats for MBBS admission after the first round remain vacant, the conducting body will proceed with the second round of counselling process to fill the vacant seats in the MBBS course. Similarly, the next two rounds of counselling are conducted, keeping in mind the number of seats vacant after each counselling session. The candidates who are granted J&K MBBS Admission 2025 after the final round of counselling have to report to their allotted college on the specified date and time. They must deposit the requisite fee to confirm their admission status.

Jammu & Kashmir MBBS Merit List 2025

After the document verification process concludes, the JKBOPEE releases the J&K MBBS Merit List 2025 based on the marks secured by the candidates in the NEET-UG 2025 exam. Candidates securing the highest marks in NEET-UG 2025 from Jammu and Kashmir are placed on the top of the merit list. In this provisional merit list, candidates can check their NEET-UG marks, roll number, and category on the merit list. It is important to note that only those candidates who feature in the Jammu and Kashmir MBBS Merit List 2025, and have submitted the online application form for admission are eligible for MBBS admission counselling.
