JENPAS UG 2025 Tie-Breaking Policy
The WBJEEB has devised a set of norms and procedures to deal with a score tie in JENPAS UG. Check out the JENPAS UG 2025 Tie-breaking policy, which lays out the criteria for ranking students when two or more candidates receive the same score.
JENPAS UG Tie-Breaking Policy: JENPAS UG 2025 Result will be published in online mode in the month of August 2024, tentatively. The JENPAS UG 2024 Exam was conducted on June 30, 2024. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEEB) released the JENPAS UG 2024 tie-breaking policy that would be used in the case of a tie in JENPAS UG 2025 exam. As per the official website, the JENPAS UG Result 2025 has been announced on August 9, 2025.
Candidates will be given a rank by the WBJEEB based on their performance in the JENPAS UG 2025 entrance exam. By logging in with the credentials provided at the time of registration, candidates will be able to check their ranks and total scores. The ranking of JENPAS UG 2025 will be assigned in descending order. Every year in JENPAS UG, there is a possibility that two or more candidates will receive the same marks. JENPAS UG Tie-breaking Policy 2025: For Paper-1
In some cases, one or both candidates receive the same mark in the JENPAS UG entrance exam. For example, if Candidate A and Candidate B both get 200 marks on the JENPAS UG, the rank will be assigned according to the tie-breaking rules. Two different policies will be implemented during a tie-breaking case, as per the policies and guidelines. The following are the major factors that will come into play in such a situation:
Priority will be given to the candidate with the lowest negative scores in total.
The candidate with the highest marks in Biology will be given priority.
The candidate with the highest marks in Chemistry will be given priority.
The candidate with the highest marks in Physics will be given priority.
The candidate with the highest marks in English will be given priority.
Priority will be given to the candidates who have more marks in Biology and Chemistry taken together.
Priority will be given to the candidates who have more marks in Biology and Physics taken together.
Candidates with less negative marks in Biology and Chemistry combined will be given priority.
Candidates with less negative marks in Biology and Physics combined will be given priority.
If a tie still exists after that, the tie will be resolved by the candidate’s dates of birth (DOB); the older candidate will be prioritised over the younger one.
JENPAS UG Tie-breaking Policy 2025: For Paper-2
In some cases, two candidates receive the same score. In such circumstances, the GMR rank will be assigned using the tie-breaking methods mentioned below:
Priority will be given to the candidate with the lowest negative scores in total.
Priority will be given to the candidate with the highest marks in Physical Science.
Priority will be given to the candidate with the highest marks in English.
Priority will be given to the candidate with the highest marks in Logical Reasoning.
Priority will be given to the candidates who have more marks in Physical Science and English taken together.
Priority will be given to the candidates who have more marks in Physical Science and Logical Reasoning taken together.
Candidates with less negative marks in Physical Science and English combined will be given priority.
Candidates with less negative marks in Physical Science and Logical Reasoning combined will be given priority.
If a tie still exists after that, the tie will be resolved by the candidate’s dates of birth (DOB); the older candidate will be prioritized over the younger one.
