With the commencement of the counselling process for Karnataka BDS admission 2021, you must be wondering where to start. If that is the case, you have come to the right place. The Directorate of Medical Education of the state began the registrations for Karnataka BDS 2021 counselling process on 13th December 2021. If you are interested, you have until 27 December to complete your registrations and to pay the application fee.
Just like the MBBS admission in Karnataka, admission to the BDS course also begins soon after the release of NEET results. Different states start releasing their rank/ merit lists on the respective authorities’ websites. Usually, not necessarily, after the first rank/ merit list of NEET AIQ counselling, these states publish their merit lists for the State Quota and All India Quota seats. The entire admission process culminates with the completion of all counselling rounds and admission fee submission.

Karnataka BDS Admission Registrations 2021
If you’re wondering “How to apply for Karnataka BDS counselling?” then here are the simple steps for you to explain the entire process:
STEP-I: Visit the official website of the conducting authority and select the “UGNEET 2021 Online Registration” option. Enter all the details asked and receive your application ID and password to your registered email ID/ phone number or on your computer screen.
STEP-II: Upload the scanned copies of the required documents like your coloured photograph, left thumb impression, signature, etc.
STEP-II: Pay the registration fee prescribed as per your category (details mentioned below).
STEP IV: Submit the application form and get a hard copy of it. The printout of your application form needs to be produced at the time of the document verification process.

Karnataka BDS Selection/ Counselling Process 2021
The selection process for Karnataka BDS admissions begins with counselling registrations.
The step is followed by document verification. Those who fail to meet the eligibility criteria may lose their candidature in this step.
After this, the option entry or choice filing window opens. In this step, you will have to provide your college preference in a sequential manner.
Followed by option entry is the seat allotment process. The administrative authority conducts three rounds for seat allocation: Round I, Round II and Mop-up Round. You would also be given an option to forfeit the seat allocation.
Finally, with the payment of the admission fee and reporting at the allotted institute, the selection process is completed.
Karnataka BDS Document Verification 2021
Those who have completed their registration and document verification as per the schedule would have to enter their NEET 2021 roll number on the official website of KEA before the deadline to become eligible for admission to the dental courses.
They will not be required to pay any registration fee again.
Those who have not completed their document verification as per the official schedule would have to do so compulsorily before the deadline.

Karnataka BDS Seat Allotment 2021
The Karnataka BDS seat allotment is conducted in the following round:
Karnataka BDS Round I Seat Allotment:
Based on the seat matrix issued by KEA and information entered during Option Entry by candidates, Round I allotment is conducted.
The seats are allotted as per the reservation policies.
Karnataka BDS Round II Seat Allotment:
Once the seats open for Round I are filled completely, the Round II allotment begins.
The order of allotment in this round is the same as in Round I.
This round is usually open only for reserved categories and not GM candidates.
Karnataka BDS Mop-up Round Seat Allotment:
If seats remain vacant even after completing the previous rounds, a Mop-up round of seat allotment is conducted.
Unlike Round II, this round is conducted for various unfilled seats under different reserved General categories and special categories.
