If a candidate can not take part in the first counselling round, then he/she can take part in the second round of counselling.

Karnataka PG Medical Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2024
Mere registration does not allow the applicant to be admitted to Karnataka medical college. In order to take admissions, the candidate needs to fulfill the eligibility criteria. The eligibility of candidates is governed by the Karnataka Conduct of Entrance Test for Selection and Admission.
Eligibility Criteria for Indian Nationals:-
Candidates should have completed their MBBS / BDS courses, respectively from the recognized institute recognized by MCI / DCI
Candidates should have also secured a minimum score or equal to the prescribed minimum score in NEET-PG 2024
The age limit for in-service applicants is 48 years, as of 31 March 2024
SC / ST / OBC / Linguistic minority eligibility criteria are applicable to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC/Linguistic candidates only.
If any candidate of Karnataka has not claimed any reservation in NEET application can claim the respective eligible category in NEET- PG-2019 of KEA.
Any candidate, who is already holding a PG Degree in any clinical speciality, shall not be eligible for admission to any Post Graduate Degree or Diploma Course.
If any applicant who has received his medical/dental certificate from medical/dental schools outside India then the applicant will need to appear for the FMGE-Screening Test (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) conducted by the National Board of Examinations
Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals:-
The certification of a foreign national should be properly registered in his / her own country with the appropriate registration agency where he/she has received his / her medical degree certificate and the medical certificate should be duly recognized relevant medical council or concerned authority.
The candidate should have also obtained a temporary registration certificate for the duration of the PG course from MCI / DCI.
The candidates who sign up online with KEA will be liable for the document verification process. The results/ranks released by the National Examination Board (NBE), New Delhi, will be taken into consideration for the preparation of the list for the document verification of the original document.

Aspirants must note that every college has 4 different seat categories: private, NRI, government, and others. Every category has their own set fees. Make sure to fill the choices carefully. Aspirants must ensure that they choose the college and course of their choice based on the order of preference.
Seat allotment
KEA prepares the seat allotment list every year for aspirants. Candidates are allotted seats based on the seat matrix, state merit list, and the choices locked in by the aspirants during the Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2024 registration process. If a candidate has received a seat allocation in first or second round of counseeling, they will have to retain or surrender the seat. Thy need to log in to the official website using their registered account and choose from the below-mentioned four options:
Choice 1:
Aspirant accepts the seat allocation and is not interested in participating in further rounds. In such a case, the test-taker has to report to the respective institute, pay the fees, and confirm their admission.
Choice 2:
Aspirant is content with the given seat but still wants to explore and participate in the next round to upgrade if possible. He/she has to choose this option from the official portal itself.
Choice 3:
Test-taker is unhappy with the allotted seat and wish to surrender the same. He/ she would like to participate in further rounds and look for better option during counselling.
Choice 4:
Aspirants is unsatisfied with their seat allocation and wish to surrender the same while choosing not to participate in further rounds for personal reasons.
Candidates who opt for choice 1 or 2 have to report to the allotted institute. Failure to do so will be considered as seat blocking and will attract a hefty penalty. Aspirants are advised to be transparent and clear with their choices to avoid any form of miscommunication and extreme steps.

Documents Required for Karnataka PG Medical Counselling
The list of documents which are needed to be submitted at the time counselling process are mentioned below:-
KEA's PGET 2024 application form duly filled out (print out) and Challan copy of fee paid.
NEET-PG 2024 Admit Card along with its scorecard issued by NBE
Class 10th or SSLC mark sheet (For date of birth)
Class 12th or PUC mark sheet
MBBS / BDS marks card issued by Universities of all phases/years.
Qualifying degree certificate. (PDC / Pass / Completion Certificate is only accepted for students who have completed their MBBS / BDS degrees)
Certificate of internship for the candidates who have completed their internship.
For those candidates who will complete their internships by 31 March 2024, a temporary internship completion certificate will also be accepted for 1st round of counselling
Certificate from the Institute Head certifying that the candidate has passed MBBS / BDS examination which is also recognized by the MCI/DCI.
RGUHS certificate of qualifications for the applicants who graduated from institutions other than RGUHS at the time of the document verification.
Candidate migration certificate if MBBS / BDS is done other than RGUHS (Needed to be submitted at the respective college)
All candidates are also required to submit an UNDERTAKING on Rs. 20 e-Stamps Paper submitted to the Karnataka Examinations Authority on behalf of the candidate only upon submission of the document, the Candidate's Document Verification process is considered to be completed and he/she becomes eligible for User ID and Secret Key.

NOTE: Apart from the mandatory documents and the certificates mentioned for each clause, if any candidate eligible to claim under NRI Ward, then such candidates have to submit the relevant certificates.
