Is the syllabus reduced for KCET 2025?
Candidates must note that the KCET 2025 syllabus will be based on the 1st & 2nd PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka. In 2023, the KCET syllabus was modified as certain reductions were made in the 1st & 2nd PUC syllabi.
What is the exam pattern of KCET 2025?
As per the KCET 2025 exam pattern, the total number of questions to be asked in the exam is 60 per subject. The total time duration for each subject / session is 80 minutes and marks allotted per question is 1.
Can candidates skip mathematics in the KCET exam?
No, candidates cannot skip mathematics in the KCET exam. Mathematics is a compulsory subject in the KCET exam, and skipping it would disqualify candidates from the examination.
Can candidates appear for the KCET exam without Biology?
Yes. It is not mandatory to attempt the Biology section in KCET if candidates want to pursue Engineering. Biology marks are only considered for Medical, Dental and Paramedical fields.
Is KCET easier than the JEE Main exam?
The identical chapters and subjects from Classes 11 and 12 are covered by the questions in both KCET and JEE Main. However, in comparison to KCET, the questions in JEE Main are more difficult.
Is NCERT enough for the KCET preparation?
NCERT books are a good source for candidates to start if they want to prepare for the KCET 2025 exam. Upon finishing the NCERT books, candidates can proceed to the important KCET books available in the market.
