ACCA is an integrated course that can be studied along with the B.Com in International Accounting course. CIMA or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants: CIMA also known as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants is a professional qualification in financial management and accounting from the UK and Ireland. Students from India only need to have 40% to 50% marks to study the course. This course is associated with the Cost and Work Accountants (CWA) Institute of India. To pursue the course, candidates have to apply from CWA and appear for 4 extra papers to get the CIMA qualification. After completing the CIMA certification course, the average salary that candidates can get is between INR 5 to 6 lakhs and the fee to pursue the CIMA course is approximately INR 2 lakhs along with the tuition fees which is going to be extra. There is as such no specific eligibility criteria to study CIMA. students who are pursuing their B.Com degree can join the CIMA course.
Actuarial Science: Actuarial Science is a branch of statistics and mathematics that looks after the analysis that has been done for financial risks in the insurance and finance industries. This course can be studied only after completing the M.Com degree. To study this course, students need to apply probability analysis and statistics to analyse and solve the financial situations of uncertain future events. The average salary that candidates can get after studying Actuarial Science is INR 14 lakhs. Based on the college/ university that the candidates select to study the Actuarial Science course, they need to appear for the CUET UG, ACET or CUET PG entrance exam. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Class 12 exam is required, specifically, they should have scored at least 70% in Mathematics.
