Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician is one of the most popular courses offered by ITIs nationwide under CTS. A "Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician" trade program lasts two years, during which candidates learn professional skills, professional knowledge, and employability skills related to their job role. The candidates will also be taught about the advantages, principles, construction, working, and properties of refrigerants, window air conditioners, installation of window AC, split AC, retrofitting, thermal insulation, car air conditioning, centralised air conditioning, direct expansion systems, etc. 

In short, students after doing ITI in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning will be able to take care of a complete range of Refrigeration, Freezing, and Thermal Insulations. The students are trained through both theoretical and practical knowledge and they are able to discover many things during practical training.

  3. National Apprenticeship Certificates (NACs) can be earned in numerous industries through apprenticeship programs.
  4. In the ITIs, you can become an instructor by joining the Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS).
