The ITI welder course is a specialised program that teaches students about welding types, welding equipment, welding materials, and the correct use of welding equipment. In this full-time, one-year course, students will be provided with practical training and learn what safety precautions are needed. A student who completes the ITI welder course may apply for apprenticeships, vocational training programs, or higher education. Among the job profiles that they can work on are Arc Welder, Gas Welder, Assistant, Electric Welder, Fabrician, Pipe Welder, etc.

The course aims to equip students with the right welding skills, mechanisms, precautions, and theories to prepare them for employment in industries such as repair, construction, manufacturing, and maintenance, as well as to prepare them for further education. As a result of the program, individuals can improve their skills over time and enhance their career prospects.

The salary for these employees will vary from INR 8,000 to INR 10,000 per month. Further, they are expected to be physically fit and in good health so they may handle any work environment, as well as to be hard-working while keeping up to date with all safety precautions.

Task Involved: As part of the job, metal parts are welded together using welding rods and oxygen acetylene flames.

Job: Electric Welder
Task Involved: Fusing metals with arc-welding power sources and electrodes is part of the job.

Job: Gas Cutting
Task Involved: A gas flame is used to cut metal to the desired shape and size either manually or mechanically.

Job: Brazer
Task Involved: A part of the job involves joining metal parts with flux and filler rods.

Job: Gas Metal Arc Welder/ Metal Inert Gas/ Metal Active Gas/ Gas Metal Welder (MIG/MAG/GMAW)
Task Involved: Part of the job is to read fabrication drawings, examine parts to be welded, clean them, and set joints with clamps or any other suitable device. Connects workpiece with earth cable.

Job: Plastic welder
Task Involved: Create a joint between two thermoplastics by following the steps to any weld; pressing, heating, and cooling.

Job: Iron and Steel Plasma Cutter-Manual
Task Involved: Cutting materials in various profiles (mild carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, high-tensile, and special steels, etc.).
