Maharashtra NEET PG Medical Counselling 2024 - Eligibility Criteria
The Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2024 is conducted for candidates who will possess all the eligibility criteria as per the guidelines of the official authority. To be eligible for the counselling process of Maharashtra NEET PG 2024, students must the NEET PG exam with the required cutoff marks. Only Indian citizens can apply for the MH NEET PG Counselling 2024. The eligibility criteria for Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling 2024 are listed below.
Candidates must be citizens of India.
Candidates must have a valid Passport/12th School Leaving Certificate, or any other relevant certificate issued by the District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/Chief Metropolitan Magistrate to substantiate the proof of nationality.
Non-Residential Indians or NRIs are not eligible to apply for the Maharashtra NEET PG Counselling process. However, they may apply for the 15% AIQ seats in minority medical colleges and unaided private colleges.
Applicants who are residents of the state and have taken admission to MBBS colleges outside Maharashtra under the 15% AIQ, and have earned a degree from any other state university are also eligible to appear for Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2024. However, they will need to submit a certificate from the Dean of the respective state colleges and a certificate of Maharashtra by the virtue of residence.
Applicants must have passed MBBS/BDS from a recognized institute in Maharashtra under the MCI or DCI.
Applicants must have completed their compulsory rotatory internship on or before July 31, 2024.
Candidates must be medically fit.

Maharashtra NEET PG Medical Counselling 2024
Admissions to the different PG medical courses such as MD, MS, and PG diploma courses will be based on the NEET PG 2024 scores obtained by the aspirants. However, the counselling process is being conducted at the All India and State-level separately. At the All India Level, the Medical Counselling Committee is responsible for conducting the counselling process for PG medical courses in India. However, for the state-level counselling process, the respective bodies who have been appointed for the counselling process will be responsible for the same.

The PG Medical counselling process in Maharashtra for 2024 has been defined as follows:
Submission of Application
The directorate will release the first merit list, as per which the first round of counselling session will be conducted. Candidates will have to log in to the official website and fill in the online registration forms along with the requisite counselling fee.
Round 1
In Round 1, while filling in the details during the registration process, the candidates will be asked to select the college of their choice. All candidates have the liberty to select as many choices as they like, depending on the course of their choice.
Once all the choices have been selected and submitted, candidates will be offered the seats, as per the Maharashtra PG Counselling Merit list and their choice. Those candidates who have been selected to one of the colleges, depending on their score, will be asked to report to the college that has been allotted to them with the specified documents within the specified time period.
Those candidates were not allotted a seat during the first round of the counselling session for PG medical courses in Maharashtra will be able to take part in the second round of the session.
Round 2
After the first round of the counselling session, the seats that remain vacant will be allocated to students who did receive an allocation in the first round. During the second round of the counselling session;
Candidates who were allocated a seat in the first round but preferred to wait for a better choice of college and course.
Candidates must have been listed under the waiting list category.
Mop-Up Round
Candidates who were unable to grab a seat in either of the two rounds that had previously been conducted for the admissions to the PG Medical courses can take another opportunity through the Mop-up round. For the Maharashtra PG Medical counselling mop-up round, candidates will be able to grab any vacant seat available under the PG medical colleges of the country.
Waiting List
The Maharashtra PG waiting list 2024 will be applicable to only those candidates who are unsatisfied with the college and course that had been allotted to them. In such situations, candidates are required to write an application to the respective authorities. Following this, candidates will be brought under the waiting list category and will be eligible for vacant seats after the completion of all counselling rounds.
