NEET 2024 Answer Key Challenge Process, Fees, Date - Here's How to Apply

NEET 2024 Answer Key Challenge Process: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional NEET 2024 Answer Key on May 29, 2024,at nta.neet.nic.in. Students can check their responses. The last date to challenge the answer key was extended to June 1, 2024. The OMR Sheet has also been released on May 29, 2024. The cost for challenging each answer key is Rs. 200. Candidates have the option to challenge the OMR by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 200. per question challenged. The NEET 2024 exam was conducted on May 5, 2024, and the NEET UG 2024 Result has been declared on June 4, 2024.

The answer key for NEET UG 2024 exam is released for each paper code in PDF format. Candidates have to log in to the NEET official website and download the answer keys for each set. They also have the option of downloading the OMR sheet and tallying their responses with the NEET 2024 answer keys. NEET UG is a national-level medical entrance exam and more than 21 lakh candidates are likely to sit for NEET UG 2024 exam.

The NEET 2024 Answer keys will be released on the website, candidates can follow these steps to download the same:

• Visit the official website of NTA i.e. neet.nta.nic.in

• Click on the link saying ‘NEET official answer key 2024’

• NEET 2024 answer key will pop up on the screen

• Look for the answer key as per code of NEET question paper 2024

• Match the responses to NEET 2024 answer key

• Calculate your scores as per the official NEET 2024 answer key

NEET 2024 Answer Key – Marking Scheme 

Once the NEET 2024 answer keys are downloaded, students can follow these steps to check their estimated scores as per the NTA NEET Marking Scheme 2024:

• For each correct answer, add +4 marks

• For each incorrect answer, deduct 1 mark

• Candidates can also calculate the mark using the formula – 

NEET Scores 2024 = (Total number of correct answers x 4) – (Total number of incorrect)

NEET 2024 Answer Key – How to Challenge NEET Answer Keys 

After checking the NTA NEET answer keys 2024, candidates will have the option to challenge the responses in the answer key in case they find any discrepancy. Applicants must note that challenges will not be accepted and considered for review unless they submit the same before the deadline - 

The process of challenging the NEET 2024 answer key is not complicated. However, it is important for candidates to follow these steps diligently to ensure qualify for the review by NTA.

Step 1: Visit the NTA NEET official website – nta.neet.nic.in 

Step 2: On the homepage, search and click on the link saying ‘Challenge NEET 2024 answer key’ or ‘Challenge NEET 2024 OMR’

Step 3: Clicking on the link will redirect you to a new webpage where you will have to log into the website using your login credentials viz. NEET 2024 Registration Number and Password. 

Step 4: Now select the answer booklet code that you want to challenge.

Step 5: The next step would be selecting the questions that you want to challenge along with their correct answers. You will also have to provide a comment or justification for your claim.

Step 6: Once you are done, click on the ‘Submit’ or ‘Confirm’ button. 

Step 7: The next step would be paying the answer key challenge fee either through debit or credit card. 

Step 8: Finally, you will get a confirmation message or notification. Make sure to get a hard copy of your confirmation slip. 

NEET 2024 Answer Key – What Does Challenging the Answer Key Mean?

The process of challenging an answer key is a very useful provision to be used by candidates who find any discrepancies in an official answer key. It is through this process that candidates can bring errors that they found in the answer key to light. And, if their claim is valid, the conducting authority i.e. NTA makes corrections and publishes a new and corrected answer key.

NEET 2024 Answer Key – Required Fees to Challenge NEET Answer Key

The details regarding payment of the NEET 2024 Answer key challenge fee are as follows:

• Candidates who wish to challenge the NEET 2024 answer key have to pay an amount of INR 200 for each question in the online mode. 

• If the claim to challenge the NEET answer key is found to be valid, the fee is refunded. 

• If the claim is viewed as invalid, candidates who challenged the answer key will need to forfeit the fee.  

Students can compare the unofficial NEET answer keys and solutions with the official answer keys of NEET 2024 after the declaration of NEET 2024 Result, and decide whether to file challenges against any paper code or not. If the review committee of NTA finds any of the challenges made by candidates to be valid, then they will be allotted marks. Nevertheless, the authority will not be informing students whether the claim has been accepted or rejected.
