FAQ 1: When will the NEET UG Counselling Round 2 seat allotment end?
The round 2 seat allotment window is open and the last date to accept/reject or upgrade seats is October 10, 2024, till 1.00 PM IST on the official webpage.
FAQ 2: What are the eligibility requirements to participate in NEET All India Quota Counselling 2024?
Students who score equal to or over the minimum cutoff marks (as specified by the conducting authority) in the NEET-UG 2024 exam will be considered eligible to take part in the NEET 2024 AIQ Counselling. These very students will also be eligible for the State-level NEET 2024 Counselling, provided that they meet the state-specific domicile requirements. Under the AIQ, 15 per cent of the total seats in the MBBS courses will be reserved for central/ AIQ counselling at various colleges across India. The rest of the seats, which is 85%, are filled under the state quota.

Usually, the demand for MBBS seats under the AIQ (All India Quota) is comparatively higher than that of the state-level quota seats. NEET participants with top ranks in the examination compete for MBBS admission under the AIQ counselling. The chances of securing admission purely depend on the candidate's rank in the exam.
FAQ 4: How many MBBS seats are available across the country? What is the student-to-seats ratio for admissions every year?
At present, there are around 1,08,148 MBBS seats available in Private and Government colleges in India. This year, over 20 lakh students competed for admission in different courses offered through NEET. Judging by the participants-to-seats ratio, it would be fair to say that the competition is pretty high.

Candidates with a valid NEET 2024 score are not only eligible for MBBS admissions in India but also for admission to the BDS, AYUSH (UG) and Veterinary Sciences (UG) courses. In some states or universities, NEET scores are considered for Paramedical (UG) admissions as well.

AMU reserves 50 per cent of the total MBBS seats for candidates who completed their studies from AMU schools within the last three years. Such students must have a valid NEET score to prove their eligibility during counselling. The rest 50 per cent of seats in the MBBS course at AMU are reserved for non-AMU candidates with a valid NEET score. Candidates from any state are allowed to compete for these seats.

MCC NEET counselling 2024 for 15% AIQ seats will be held in four rounds namely, 1st counselling round, 2nd counselling round, mop-up round, and stray-vacancy round. The NEET 2024 counselling details for 85% of state quota seats will be released by the respective state authorities.
FAQ 9: What does it mean by the “Exit with forfeiture in the Round II of counselling”?
In case a candidate does not want to accept the allotted seat during Round II of the NEET counselling, she/ he may opt for the “Exit with Forfeiture” option. After choosing this option, the candidate can't surrender or resign from the allocated seat that she/ he has joined. The security amount that has been deposited by her/ him will also be forfeited.
FAQ 10: What does it mean by the “Free Exit for 1st Round”?
Through the "Free Exit for Ist Round" option, if one is unable to join or report at the allotted college then she/ he will be eligible to participate in the next rounds of counselling. The security deposit of such candidates will also not be forfeited.

FAQ 13:How much time do candidates usually have to join the allotted college?
Candidates are usually required to join the allocated college within the time stipulated by the conducting authority. The schedule is intimated by the authority through official counselling dates. The deadline to join the allotted college can be checked online through the official portal of the NEET 2024 AIQ counselling. However, candidates are advised not to wait until the last date. It must also be noted that if one fails to join the allotted college within the mentioned period, the seat allocation will be cancelled.

Candidates can retrieve their passwords by choosing the "forgot password" option while logging in to the conducting authority's portal. Their password will be retrieved by answering the security question that they chose during the registration process. If the candidate answered the question correctly and it matches with the answers that she/ he provided during registration, she/ he will be able to change the password.
