NMIMS Mumbai UG Admission Process 2023
Candidates must register for the appropriate course, choose one or more entrance exams, pay the NMIMS application fee, choose the testing centre, and sign up for the exam in order to begin theNMIMS Mumbai admissions. Students who meet the entrance requirements are contacted for a personal interview following the results (if applicable according to the course). For instance, after NMIMS-CET results, students are contacted for counselling.

NMIMS Mumbai UG Application Process 2023
STEP 1: Registration
- Go to the NMIMS Mumbai official website.
- Click on the ‘Admission’ button at the top of the homepage.
- Select the name of the institute and the programme of your choice from the drop-down menu and click on ‘Search’.
- You will be redirected to the entrance exam registration page to register for the required entrance exam of your chosen course.
- Register for the entrance examination by entering all the required information.
- Depending on how many tries a student has made to pass the exam, the registration fee for various schools and entrance tests will vary. Both the refund and transfer of the fee are prohibited.
STEP 2: Entrance Exam
- Participants in the NMIMS Mumbai entrance exam must pay the registration fee.
- Candidates may select the exam centre date they wish to take the exam after successfully registering for the course.
- Dates and seats at the exam centre will be available based on availability and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
- As soon as the candidates receive notification from the institute about the exam, they must schedule it. The merit list will be based on the highest scores obtained on the retakes. Note that the entrance exam, school, or programme cannot be changed or added once the NMIMS Mumbai application fee has been paid.
- After the student selects the exam date and time from the student dashboard, an admit card is generated and made available for download. The institute will release the results a few days after the entrance exams are done.
STEP 3: Selection Process
- Candidates must update their class 12 or equivalent marks on the NMIMS Mumbai website in accordance with the eligibility requirements because they will be taken into account when preparing the merit list.
- The NMIMS Mumbai merit list will be created using the results of the NMIMS-NPAT, NMIMS-CET, and NMIMS-LAT exams as well as the applicant's information.

The NMAT by GMAC entrance exam is used to offer NMIMS Mumbai MBA admission. To register, students can go to www.nmat.org. Students may submit applications to various campuses and programmes. On December 15, 2022, the NMAT 2022 registration period came to an end. Following the release of the NMAT 2023 admit card, candidates may sit for the main exam. STEP 1: Registration
- Go to www.nmat.org and register for the NMAT 2023 exam by paying the registration fee. Record the registration number provided.
- Students must register and take the NMAT 2023 entrance exam before continuing with the NMIMS Mumbai NMAT application 2023. The NMAT score is submitted by GMAC to NMIMS.
- The NMAT sectional and overall scores will be used to shortlist candidates. The candidate's dashboard will show the call letter.
STEP 2: Psychometric test and personal interview
- Now the candidate has to go through the psychometric test and personal interview rounds. Students are advised to carry their NMAT by GMAC score card while taking this test because the entire process is offline.
- Now visit www.nmims.edu and apply for admission with your registration number provided by GMAC. Candidates must select a minimum of five programmes when submitting their applications. The final preference, however, is taken into account for admission and is filled at the time of shortlisting following the publication of the NMIMS Mumbai cut off.
STEP 3: Payment of fees

NMIMS Mumbai School of Design offers a 4-year Bachelor of Design course to candidates with at least 60% marks in Class 12 and a valid score in the NMIMS DAT (Design Aptitude Test). Candidates who have passed UCEED and have a score that is still valid as of the registration deadline are exempt from the studio test, but they must still show up for the portfolio interview. STEP 2: Studio Test
- The call letter for the offline Studio Test will be available for candidates to download.

NMIMS Mumbai M.Tech Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process 2023
NMIMS Mumbai M.Tech programme is offered in Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Data Science (Business Analytics) and Artificial Intelligence specialisations. NMIMS Mumbai M.Tech admission is offered to candidates with a minimum 50% (60% for Data Science and AI) aggregate (All semester/ Trimester) marks in B.Tech/ BE. Candidates with a valid GATE score will be given first preference. The scholarship will be subject to UGC disbursement.
Candidates can apply if they are final-year B.Tech or BE students. Candidates are eligible to apply and register in accordance with UGC guidelines if they have completed their graduation through a recognised university's part-time programme, distance learning, correspondence course, external programme, or open school. Candidates who received their undergraduate from an overseas board or university must submit an AIU equivalence certificate to verify their eligibility for the programme. STEP 1: Registration
- To register online, go to www.nmims.edu.
- Candidates must read the instructions in the instruction sheet, any important dates, and the terms and conditions provided in the online application form before filling out the online form.
STEP 2: Payment of fees
- Candidates must pay the NMIMS Mumbai M.Tech registration fee of Rs 1,100/- (Non-refundable).
STEP 3: Document Submission

STEP 4: Selection Process
- Personal Interview will be conducted at the NMIMS Mumbai campus.
- On the basis of the candidate's performance in the personal interview, the NMIMS Mumbai merit list will be created. According to their specialisation or preference, each candidate must appear in a personal interview separately.
STEP 5: Final Admission Process
- Admission for candidates who are selected by the merit list will be provisional up until the submission of the final grade report, and it will be confirmed upon submission if the candidate meets the eligibility requirements.
- The candidate is required for the admission process in person on the NMIMS Mumbai campus.

NMIMS Mumbai PhD Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process 2023
The NMIMS Mumbai PhD programme was primarily started to offer doctoral degrees to employed management professionals. The lectures are held on weekends to accommodate these working professionals (and preferably on the second and fourth weekends of a month). According to the expertise and mentors on hand, the programme currently offers specialisations in Strategy/General Business Environment, Marketing, Human Resources/Organization Behaviour, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Operations Research, and Communications. The NMIMS Mumbai PhD programme adheres to standards that are generally much stricter than the UGC-specified norms and is fully compliant with the most recent UGC norms (May 2016).
NMIMS Mumbai PhD Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for admission to the programme must hold a Master's degree or a professional degree that has been declared by the relevant statutory regulatory body to be equivalent to the Master's degree, with at least 55% overall marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading systems are used), or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency.
Note that at least 5 years of full-time work experience in an executive or supervisory capacity is required for the Executive PhD (Working Executives/Teaching Faculty), of which at least 2 years must have come after receiving a Master's degree. For full-time positions, candidates need not have any prior work experience. Full-time employment experience is required; part-time employment, internships, projects, training periods, trainees (in management or engineering, for example), etc., are not acceptable forms of experience. Candidates who earned their degrees from accredited universities through part-time study, distance learning, correspondence courses, external study, or open schooling are eligible to apply and register in accordance with UGC guidelines. Candidates who will be appearing in finals or who are awaiting results are not eligible to apply. At the time of NMIMS Mumbai PhD admission, candidates are required to present all documents and certifications. Candidates must submit all of their mark sheets from their undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as an AIU Certificate (University Equivalence) if they received their undergraduate or graduate degrees from an overseas university.
NMIMS Mumbai PhD Admission process
The NMIMS Mumbai PhD programme accepts applicants via an admissions test that assesses applicants' general aptitude through a GMAT-type test, followed by a written exam with subject-specific essays. To advance to the next stage, where an interview is held to further evaluate candidates' research aptitude, candidates must receive at least a 50% on this exam. For each subject, at least one interviewer is from an external organisation. After this second round, candidates who are chosen are offered NMIMS Mumbai PhD admission based on seat availability.

STEP 2: Submission of SOP
Each candidate must include the following information in their submission.
- The area of specialisation the applicant wants to pursue.
- Up to 500 words may be used in a Statement of Purpose (SOP) to explain why you want to pursue a doctorate.
- Note of up to 500 words on a potential research topic for the candidate.
- At the time of application, the candidate must specifically select the Full Time/Executive option.
STEP 3: Payment of Fees
- The online registration fees is Rs 2500/- plus applicable taxes.
- The NMIMS PhD registration fee is non-refundable.
STEP 4: Entrance exam
- The candidate must have passed the Admission Test conducted by the university.
OR
- The candidate has passed the UGC-NET (including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), SLET, GATE, Teacher Fellowship examination in higher/technical professional education, or another exam that is at least as good over the past three years.
STEP 5: Written Test
- First take the NMIMS written Research Ability Test.
- The next test will be to ‘Critique a Research Manuscript’ (subject specific written test).
- The applicant must have passed the written test administered by NMIMS University with a minimum score of 50%.
- Candidates who have successfully completed the UGC-NET (including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), SLET, GATE, Teacher Fellowship, or other equivalent examinations in higher or technical professional education with a valid score within the validity period (last three years) are exempt from the NMIMS written test. They must, however, show up for the personal interview.
STEP 6: Personal Interview Round
- Based on the candidate’s statement of purpose, NMIMS Mumbai conducts its personal interviews.
- During the personal interview, the candidates will need to exhibit a commitment to, aptitude for, and orientation toward research.
