Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) is a smart system developed by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) which allows students to take admission in the Intermediate courses in various streams like Arts /Science /Commerce /Agriculture in different schools and colleges which are linked to Bihar Board. The OFSS gives flexibility to candidates who have passed Matriculation examination from Bihar Board/ CBSE/ ICSE or any other State Board to apply in approximately 3300 colleges/ schools (Except Minority Institutions and Residential institutions) affiliated and recognised by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB). The candidate can apply in all 38 districts of the state.
Candidates can apply using the Common Application Form (CAF) in online mode which is available on the official website at www.ofssbihar.in. The centralised admission process is transparent, reliable, cost-effective and hassle-free. It reduced the anxiety of students and parents regarding admission in Intermediate schools/ colleges.
Previously, the candidates had to submit different applications to different institutes by purchasing separate prospectus and application form for admission in different educational institutions due to which students had to face financial difficulty and mental stress. Many meritorious and less financially strong students had difficulty getting enrolled in good educational institutions.
However, under the new online enrollment systems, students who have passed matriculation from central or any other state board and want to enrol in intermediate studies in Bihar can do the same by visiting the nearest Vasudha Kendra or internet cafe or they can use the internet facility at their home and apply through a laptop or computer. The OFSS online portal gives facilities to students to apply in minimum 5 colleges/ schools and a maximum of 20 colleges/ schools. All details like the number of seats for enrollment in an intermediate level educational institute and other details is released on the OFSS website. How to fill Application through OFSS?
Any student who has passed Class 10th from Bihar board, CBSE board, ICSE board or any other state board can apply for admission to Intermediate course in schools/ colleges of Bihar. Candidates can fill in the application form by visiting the Sahaj Vasudha Kendra, District registration cum counselling centres, from a cyber cafe or at home using their personal computers/ laptops with an Internet connection

Bihar OFSS Application Process
There are various stages of filling the application. Candidates must follow the step by step instruction and complete the application process for admission in desired school/ college in Bihar for intermediate studies. Following are the step by step instructions to complete the application process:
Step 1: Keep the pre-requisite details ready
If the student has passed Class 10th examination from Bihar School Examination Committee, Patna then He/ She must keep the roll code. Roll number and Date of Birth ready. Students from any other board must keep ready with them the scorecard.
Candidates filling the application must also have a scanned copy of passport- sized photograph that must be uploaded with the application.
Step 2: Visit the OFSS website to apply
Visit the website https://www.ofssbihar.in/ and click Common Application Form. Read the instructions carefully and accept terms and conditions by clicking the checkbox button at the bottom. After this, the Common Application Form will open on the screen.
Step 3: Fill in the Common Application Form (CAF)
Enter the roll code, roll number, date of birth and the year of passing Class 10th in the application form.
While filling the application form candidates must provide a valid mobile number and email ID. Adhaar card number is also mandatory while applying.
Step 4: Upload passport-sized photograph
Once all the details in the application is filled, the applicant must upload his scanned photo.
Step 5: Select school/ colleges
Candidates can choose a minimum of 5 options and maximum of 20 college options. To select the college, the candidate must select the district from drop-down list followed by school/ college. Candidates can also select the stream like Arts / Science/ Commerce. After clicking the submit button, the options will be entered. Candidates must select the school/ college according to their priority. The highest priorities school/ college should be selected first.
Step 6: Preview Application
Once the Common Application is filled, the applicant must once again read it carefully to ensure that there is no mistake in the details and then click the Submit button.
After this, a preview of the filled application will appear on the screen. Check the application again and click the Confirm button.
Once the application is confirmed, the system will automatically send an OPT on the registered mobile number of the candidate. Candidates must enter the OPT on screen to confirm the contact details.
Step 7: Pay Application Fee
Once the mobile number is confirmed, the candidate will be redirected to the payment page. The application fee is INR 350/-. It includes INR 100/- as the application fee and INR 250/- as the school or college fees. Payment can be done online through SBI e- challan or debit card or credit card.
Step 8: Receive Acknowledgement
After successfully paying the application fee, a user ID and password will be sent on the registered mobile number of the candidate and email ID. Using this, the applicant can login to the OFSS portal to check the status of the application.

Bihar OFSS Selection Process
After the completion of the online application process, the committee will issue the first combined merit list, institute wise and on the basis of merit and the priority of options selected by the candidate. The selection list will be available on the official website. Students will be notified on their registered mobile number and e-mail ID. Candidates can visit the website and download and print the letter related to selection in the concerned college. Those who receive the letter must visit the respective college/ school on a specific date and time. They must carry with them a letter of confirmation.
The candidate will have to pay the fee in cash or DD which must be deposited at the school/college counter. Candidates will also have to submit coloured photographs and required certificates.
After the first enrollment, if seats remain vacant then the second combined merit list will be released so that the institute can fill seats for remaining seats.
