Candidates who want to take admission in the Diploma Polytechnic course in the state of Rajasthan must fill out the application form in online mode. Follow the steps given below to complete the Rajasthan Polytechnic 2024 registration process.
Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of the Department of Technical Education, Rajasthan at dte.rajasthan.gov.in.
Step 2: Log in to the website and choose "New User."
Step 3: Candidates must enter all necessary data to create an SSO Login ID and Password.
Step 4: During registration, candidates must provide their contact information, including their email address and cellphone number, as well as their personal information, including name, parent's names, date of birth, gender, and other details
Step 5: After registration, a special ID is created and sent through SMS to the registered phone. For later usage, keep this ID close to hand.

Rajasthan Polytechnic Admission/ Selection Process 2024
Admission to diploma courses offered in various institutes of Rajasthan is done through the centralized admission process. Selection is done on a merit basis i.e candidates' performance in the qualifying examination (Class X or equivalent).

Step 1 - Fill out the online Application Form
The Board of Technical Education Rajasthan manages the admission process for diploma courses in the state of Rajasthan. Candidates seeking admission in diploma courses in the state of Rajasthan must visit the official website of the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan, create an account on the admission portal and fill in the online application form for diploma courses.
Step 2 - Upload Documents
The applicant must fill in the complete details in the application form and also upload the required documents.
Step 3 - Receive Acknowledgement
Once the application and required documents are received by the concerned examination authorities, the applicant receives an email/ SMS for the acknowledgement of the receipt of the application.
Step 4 - Make Correction in the Application Form
In case the applicant wishes to make any correction in the application, he/ she must log in to the online application portal and edit the application. The applicant must ensure to complete the application form before the defined date failing which the application will be rejected.
Step 5 - Check Merit List
All applications and uploaded documents received are scrutinised by the authorities after which a provisional merit list of candidates is prepared. The merit list s published on the official portal on defined dates. Category wise merit list is prepared.
Once the doubts and issues of candidates are resolved, the authority prepares the final merit list after which no request for changes is accepted.
Step 6 -Document Verification
Once the first round of seat allotment is done, candidates who are allotted a seat in an institute must visit the designated nodal centre to verify original certificates. The candidate will also have to deposit Rs 1000/-. Those who wish to appear in the second round of seat allotment will have to notify the same to the authorities at the nodal centre.
Rajasthan Polytechnic Seat Matrix and Reservation Policy 2024
15% of seats in the private polytechnic colleges for each branch are reserved for admission through the management quota. Admission is done on the basis of rules defined by the institute.
However, institutes in Rajasthan under the public-private partnership policy do not consider admission through management quota.
Category-wise seat reservation for admission in the polytechnic course in the institutes of Rajasthan is explained below:
SC/ ST/ OBC: 16% of the total seats for admission in the diploma course is reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) ad 12 % is served for the ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer ) category. Out of the total reserved seats, 25% of the seats are advisable for women under each category.
Candidates who wish to apply for the reservation must produce the required certificates at the time of admission.
EWS: Economically weaker section (EWS)candidates are offered a total of 10% seat reservation in the respective institute of the state.
Wards of Military Personnel
As per the guidelines of the Rajasthan State Government, 5% of the seats are reserved for candidates who are dependents of Defence personnel. As per the Ex-servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defense, ex-servicemen/ dependents of soldiers will be given priority on reservation policy based on defined priority guidelines.
Physically Handicapped (PH):
4% of the total seats in all the polytechnic institutes in India are reserved for candidates who belong under the Physically Handicapped (PH) category.
Widow/ Divorce
50% of the total seats reserved for women are for those women who come under the category of Widow/Divorce
Apart from this, certain seats are also reserved for Single Mother Dependent and Kashmiri migrants as per the guidelines defined by migrants.
