Has Sanskriti University been successful in inculcating "Excellence in Life" in students? Here is a candid review and verdict by CollegeDekho about the Sanskriti University campus, academia, batch size, fees, infrastructure, placements, internships, faculty, administration, location, and much more!
Campus at a Glance
With its 40+ acres of land, Sanskriti University embarked on its journey in 2016 with the vision of imparting "Excellence in Life" to students. Currently within the bracket of ‘emerging institutions’, the campus life and infrastructural facilities provided to students deserve much-needed appreciation.
Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), it has approvals from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Bar Council of India (BCI), Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR).
Apart from being a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Sanskriti University’s collaborations with Saylor Academy (Maryland, USA), Siberian Law University, EUCLID University, University of Cambridge, EC Council University (Mexico, USA), and HELP University (Malaysia) at the international level signify its effort towards global exposure.
The university offers a plethora of courses under its radar in areas like Management, Commerce, Engineering, Education, Science, Indian Medicine, Para-medical, Agriculture, and Arts, totaling 102 courses and 32 degrees. Sanskriti University courses are offered at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The official website also boasts about receiving equivalence certification with Tribhuvan University Nepal’s Agriculture and Mechanical Engineering courses.
Behind the ‘all is well’ scenario, students have come up with a few issues that they stumble upon on a daily basis - courses being discontinued, faculty being changed frequently, rude administration staff, and inadequate hostel facilities are a few of them. The placement scenario is another low-key concern that the university struggles with. Let’s find out more about it in detail!

Our Take:
Taking into account Sanskriti University’s ranking for 2023, it has marked its presence at the national level in areas like Engineering, Management, Commerce, and Tourism and Hospitality if we talk about some credible rankings like Outlook and Indian Today.
Sanskriti University Academia and Batch Size
Given the present educational scenario, Sanskriti University claims to have adopted progressive teaching methods within their curriculum, like Questioning Strategies, Inquiry and Problem-based Learning, Case Study Methods, Game-based Learning, Brainstorming, and Outbound Training. It is apparent that such inclusion will play an important role in a student’s holistic development.
Academic Composition:
Sanskriti University academia is a mix of classroom learning, practicals, assignments, and exams, depending on the course structure.
Batch Size:
As per the NIRF Report 2023, the approved intake of the Pharmacy department was 60, while 243 students were admitted. The same is the case with the Engineering department. Out of the sanctioned intake of 126 students, 506 were enrolled. Taking into account the overall scenario, 5,383 extra students were provided with Sanskriti University admission, given the sanctioned intake of only 1,436.
Our Take:
- Looking into the teaching pedagogy, the university has adopted multiple progressive methods to provide the right curriculum to its students. However, a BBA student's parent commented that the course had been terminated prior to its final semester's conclusion without any prior notice. Such issues will not only have adverse effects on students learning but also disrupt their mental peace!
- With its growing popularity, the university has provided no end-cap for admissions, which is evident given that the sanctioned intake value accounts for only 21% of the total students admitted. It is evident that the university is increasing the number of batches per course while maintaining the faculty-to-student ratio of 13:1. The university must take the responsibility to make sure that students receive the necessary individual guidance it claims to provide!
Fees:
Here is a glimpse of the fees charged by Sanskriti University for some of its top courses:
Course | Annual Fee (INR) | Semester Fee (INR) |
B.Tech | 1,30,000-1,50,000 | 67,000-77,000 |
BCA | 80,000 | 42,000 |
B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.)/ B. Pharm | 1,25,000 | 64,500 |
B.Com (Hons.) | 60,000 | 32,000 |
M.Tech | 1,70,000 | 87,000 |
MBA | 1,50,000-1,60,000 | 77,000-82,000 |
MCA | 70,000 | 37,000 |
LLM | 40,000 | 22,000 |
Integrated BA LLB (Hons) | 80,000 | 42,000 |
Our Take:
Bearing in mind that the university achieved the top rank in UP for 'Top 10 Best Value For Money- Management, Commerce, and Fashion' by India Today in 2023, the fees fall well within a reasonable range when compared to other newly established universities.

A BTech CSE student commented that the average salary package offered is INR 3.5 LPA.
Here are the department-wise Sanskriti University placement statistics for 2022:
Management | Course Duration: 2 Years

160 | 112 | 1 | INR 2,80,000 |
Our Take:
With a placement percentage of 70% and a median salary of only INR 2.8 LPA, there is a lot of room for improvement given that the highest salary offered to BTech students is INR 54 LPA.
Agriculture and Allied Sectors | Course Duration: 4 Years
Students Graduated | Students Placed | Students opted for Higher Studies | Median Salary |
113 | 89 | 10 | INR 2,80,000 |
Our Take:
With 89 students getting the placement offers, the placement percentage is fairly decent at 86.4%. However, the median salary offered needs an upgrade!
Pharmacy | Course Duration: 4 Years
Students Graduated | Students Placed | Students opted for Higher Studies | Median Salary |
60 | 50 | 4 | INR 3,84,000 |
Our Take:
Taking into account the rising demand for pharmacy courses, the placement percentage is fairly satisfactory at 89.2%. However, with an ROI of only 30%, improvement is needed in this area.
Sanskriti University Diversity and Demographics
With a total of 6819 students, the male-to-female ratio at Sanskriti University stands at 73:27, which cannot be deemed satisfactory. Also, the percentage of students from outside UP accounts for only 37.2% of students, which again signifies that non-domicile state students do not prefer the university as much as the denizens. International students comprise only 0.70% of the total student population.
Sanskriti University has been in the limelight recently for not-so-obvious reasons. As reported by a prominent newspaper, students were engaged in religious conflicts on campus.
Sanskriti University: Gender Ratio Index
UG 3-Year | UG 4-Year | UG 5-Year | PG 2-Year
Male | 925 | 1664 | 261 | 267 |
Female | 303 | 582 | 144 | 152 |
Female Percentage | 24.6 | 25.9 | 35.5 | 36.2 |
Our Take:
The number of female students is quite low as compared to males, with only 24.6% for the UG 3-year program and 25.9% for the UG 4-year program. Lack of proper maintenance in hostels and commute-related difficulties can be the contributing factors for such low numbers.
Sanskriti University: Diversity Representation
UG 3-Year | UG 4-Year | UG 5-Year | PG 2-Year
Within State | 1029 | 1502 | 249 | 316 |
Outside State | 185 | 713 | 153 | 103 |
International Students | 14 | 31 | 3 | 0 |
Our Take:
- It is apparent from the given data that students from outside UP are reluctant to choose Sanskriti University as their preferred university. However, the university's status as a new institution could be a contributing factor to these lower numbers.
- Given the numerous international collaborations, the count of international students is far too low at 48, raising suspicions about the effectiveness of such collaborations.
- Furthermore, numerous students have expressed that the lectures are conducted in Hindi, which highlights another contributing factor to the lower enrollment numbers for non-local students.
Sanskriti University Faculty and Administration/Management
According to its website, the faculty members at Sanskriti University are conceptually sound and of high calibre. With a total of 516 faculty members, the overall faculty-to-student ratio stands at 13.2%, which is decent. However, students have shared that teacher absenteeism is common. They further added that faculty members are frequently changing. Therefore, they have to struggle to cover the syllabus on time. In terms of administration, management exhibits a discourteous and arrogant demeanour, creating challenges for the students to resolve their queries promptly.
Our Take:
It is evident from the students' feedback that the batch-wise teacher-faculty ratio is not maintained, even though the numbers are satisfactory overall. Given the frequency with which the faculty changes, the students are deprived of syllabus completion on time, which is not only stressful but also deteriorates the quality of teaching. The university needs to monitor the conduct of its staff as well.
Sanskriti University Location
Nestled in NH-2 Chhata, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, Sanskriti University is at a distance of 57 km from Delhi NCR. The closest railway station is just 2 km from the university campus.
Our Take:
Students have expressed difficulties commuting to the university due to the lack of adequate transportation options. Students do not seem to be happy with the bus facilities either. Situated exactly in the middle of railway tracks and highways, the university environment is noisy as well.
Sanskriti University Expectations Vs. Reality - CLD Verdict
Since its inception in 2016, the university has been ranked in the top 10 universities in UP by Outlook and India Today, which indicates its positive progression. The infrastructure and facilities are good. The fees are reasonable. However, the average ROI is not decent enough, especially for engineering students. Even though the university claims its faculty to be of the highest calibre, with frequently changing faculty members, students have to suffer due to an incomplete syllabus. Maintaining 75% attendance is a good initiative by the university to keep the students in check. However, levying a fine of INR 25,000 cannot be justified. Some other measures can be taken instead, which will help students attend their classes regularly and willingly!
