SSC CGL Salary 2024: The Staff Selection Commission organises the prestigious and widely popular SSC CGL exam to recruit candidates for multiple posts as Group B and Group C employees in various government departments and ministries. The salary offered to SSC CGL employees is quite good and comes with plenty of perks and benefits. The salary differs based on the post an employee has been selected for. SSC CGL Salary: Other Allowances

HRA is given to the employees to meet their house rental needs. HRA varies from city to city and is divided into 3 categories. The cities classification and the HRA provided as per them are mentioned in the table below:

SSC CGL Dearness Allowance (DA)
Dearness Allowance or DA means the cost of living adjustment allowance. Under the 7th Pay Commission, DA is fixed at 17% of the basic pay.
SSC CGL Medical Allowance
All SSC CGL employees get medical expenses reimbursed by the government for themselves and their family members.
SSC CGL Special Security Allowance
This allowance is limited to those employees who are working in a special organization like CBI, IB, or any Security Agencies. They are entitled to get an additional 20% of Basic Pay as Special Security Allowances (SSA).
