TNEA 2024 Registration & Application Form: Dates, Fees, Documents, Process
TNEA 2024 registration commenced on May 6, and the last date to apply was extended till June 11, 2024. Through the TNEA centralized counselling process, admission to B.E/ B.Tech courses is offered in various engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
TNEA 2024 Counselling- The TNEA Ramdom Number 2024 has been declared at the official website, tneaonline.org on June 12, 2024 and registered candidates are required to login to view it. The TNEA 2024 registration last date was extended till June 11, 2024. Candidates could upload their documents till June 12, 2024. BE/BTech admission in Tamil Nadu is done through the TNEA online counselling procedure. There is no state-level entrance test for admission in Tamil Nadu. Candidates must register and attend the online Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling for BE/B.Tech admission.
Candidates who have passed the 10+2 exam or appear in the Class 10+ 2 can register for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on the candidates' marks in the relevant subjects which will be lowered to 200 (Mathematics - 100, Physics - 50, and Chemistry - 50). The TNEA 2024 counselling procedure involves registration, random number assignment, certificate verification, rank list publishing, and counselling. The TNEA 2024 counselling rounds will include processes such as choice filling, allotment, confirmation of allotment, reporting to the College/TFC, and payment of fees based on confirmation.

TNEA 2024 Eligibility Criteria
TNEA 2024 eligibility requirements indicate that applicants will be eligible for admission provided they meet the following eligibility criteria:
Nativity: Candidates may apply for admission through TNEA if they are:
Tamil Nadu candidates who completed their Class VIII to Class XII education in Tamil Nadu.
Children of Central Government Employees, regardless of nativity, are eligible if their parents or guardians (only if both parents are deceased) have been consistently serving in Tamil Nadu for the last five years at the time of TNEA application submission.
Sons and daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers.
Children of employees in the public sector or government-recognized institutions who have been working for their organizations for the previous five years at the time of TNEA 2024 application form submission are also eligible to apply, regardless of residence.
Other state applicants who have completed classes VIII through XII in Tamil Nadu are eligible to register for the TNEA 2024 exam.
Tamil Nadu native applicants who have completed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI, or XII levels or comparable examinations from schools outside of Tamil Nadu are also eligible to apply for TNEA.
Qualifying Exams: Candidates are eligible to apply for TNEA if they have passed their HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry combined as given below.

Steps to Fill TNEA Application Form 2024
The step-by-step instructions to fill out the application form for TNEA could be checked below -
Step 1 - Registration
The first step in the registration process for TNEA is online registration. The candidates will have to visit the official website of TNEA, i.e., www.tneaonline.org to complete the registration. After opening the website, click on ‘New User Registration’.
Details to be Filled for New User Registration
The following details have to be filled in for the New User Registration -

E-Mail ID | Login ID (Automatically Created) - The E-Mail ID of the Candidates will be the Login ID |

After submitting all the details, you will have to click on ‘Submit’.
Step 2 - Generation of OTP
After submitting all the details mentioned above, the candidates will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS on their mobile, and the candidates will also receive an e-mail. Only after entering the OTP, the details of the candidates will be confirmed.
Step 3 - Login & Form Filling
The candidates will have to log in on the TNEA website by using their Login ID (E-Mail) and Password. The registration form for TNEA will be displayed on the screen. The candidates will have to enter all the details carefully.

Step 4 - Application Fee Payment
The next step in the application process for TNEA is registration fee payment. After completing step 3, the candidates will see three options -
- Payment Gateway (IOB)
- Payment Gateway (Indian Bank)
- Payment Gateway (Option 3 - Skip)
Candidates choosing anyone among the first two options will have to pay the application fee digitally, u.e., by using a credit card/ debit card/ internet banking facility. Candidates choosing Option 3 will have to pay the registration fee at the Facilitation Centre. The candidates will receive a confirmation message after paying the registration fee.
Step 5 - Filling Scholarship Information
Candidates who wish to avail of various scholarship schemes through TNEA will have to fill his/ her preference. The candidates will have to fill the following details -

Stage 9 - Edit/ Save Application
As the candidates have already entered all the details in the application, they can edit the same if any changes are required. If all the information is correct, the candidates can click on ‘Submit Application'. The candidates will receive a confirmation pop-up. Click on ‘OK’.
Stage 10 - Printout of Application Form
Finally, the candidates can take the printout of the application form. The candidates must note that the printout of the application form should be submitted at the Facilitation Centre (TFC) along with all the relevant documents.
