UCEED 2025 IIT Bombay Rank Lists

UCEED Shortlisting Criteria

UCEED 2025 Shortlisting is done based on the information mentioned in the UCEED Information Brochure 2025. Read on to learn about the criteria IIT Bombay use to shortlist candidates for admission to some of the top UCEED 2025 accepting colleges in the BDes program.

Please note that for candidates who are not shortlisted after the Part A cutoff, their Part B of the paper shall not be evaluated.

UCEED Ranking System 2025

All shortlisted candidates in the UCEED Examination get a rank. The total UCEED score is calculated by adding the marks obtained in Part-A and Part-B of the UCEED Exam. This total score is then used to prepare the final result/rank by IIT Bombay. All shortlisted candidates will get a common merit rank (All India Rank). All the shortlisted candidates are then considered qualified for UCEED 2025. However, please take note that not all candidates who manage to secure a rank in the UCEED Exam 2025 are guaranteed to get admission into UCEED Colleges.

UCEED 2025 Tie-Breaking Policy

According to the UCEED Information Brochure released by IIT Bombay, If the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, then the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks:

  • i. A higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part B.
  • ii. If the criterion given in (i) does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part-A.
  • iii. If the criteria (i) and (ii) do not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.
  • iv. If there is a tie even after this, the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
